A pioneer for the Columbus region, a terminal for the future The One International Gateway project is more than just a new terminal, and we won t have to wait long to start experiencing the benefits of this development. We are approaching the project in four phases, and, within the next several years, we will have a new rental car facility, new hotel and increased airport parking, key elements that will greatly improve the traveler experience. The One International Gateway project is the beginning of a new age for John Glenn International and Columbus. With construction already underway and continuing through the 2030s, this project will bring countless benefits to our city, residents and travelers. By starting this development now, we can strategically and responsibly stay in step with our city s growth and become a pioneer in the next chapter of our region s future. With a more modern look, greater technology features and increased options and services, the One International Gateway project will give visitors one more reason to love coming to Columbus and will give residents one more reason to love coming home.

A future-focused, strategic timeline PHASE PHASE Mid-2020s PHASE 3 Late 2020s Early 2030s PHASE s NEW TERMINAL/PARKING GARAGE DECOMMISSION & 2016 STRATEGIC PLANNING GROW, ENHANCE & SUSTAIN CONSTRUCTION REDEVELOP 2030s By approaching development in this strategic, step-by-step way, while also being responsive to market evolution, we can best meet today s needs while also positioning John Glenn International for the future. Regardless of the phase, our focus remains on providing an exceptional traveler experience while keeping an eye on the future. We recently completed the strategic planning phase, having the right conversations to carefully and responsibly build a plan that makes sense for our city. With this strategic plan we remain poised to evolve with the industry, the economy and with passenger demand. Starting in 2018 and continuing through the mid-2020s, we are moving forward with Phase 2, during which we will work to grow, enhance and sustain our existing facilities. Phase 2 will see the construction of a new rental car facility and hotel as well as smart maximization efforts to gain the most efficiency from our existing terminal. In Phase 3, we will move forward with design and construction of the new terminal, parking garage and associated facilities. We will decommission the existing terminal and redevelop the property in Phase 4.

PHASE Mid-2020s GROW, ENHANCE & SUSTAIN Phase 2 focuses on growth while also enhancing and sustaining the current terminal to continually provide an exceptional travel experience as we plan for the future. In Phase 2, we will grow to meet future demand by completing: A new rental car facility The airport s first extended-stay hotel, a Residence Inn by Marriott Airfield construction And more We will enhance and sustain the current terminal to maintain a positive customer experience while also extending the longevity of the terminal to maximize previous investments and provide time to save money for future development. Meeting today s needs, preparing for tomorrow We are beginning construction on a new rental car facility scheduled to open in Today rental car activity takes place in the parking garage. When rental car operations move to the new facility, additional garage parking will become available to travelers. Built near the site of the future terminal, the new rental car facility will allow travelers to drop off and pick up rental cars from a centralized location. When the new terminal opens, a sky bridge will connect the two facilities. Until that time, rental car customers will be bussed to and from the current terminal. To achieve this, we will: Maximize airline space allocations and add loading bridges to accommodate additional flights Expand concessions Maintain infrastructure and systems such as roofing, elevators, HVAC and bag belts And more

PHASE 3 Late 2020s Early 2030s GROWING IN STEP WITH OUR REGION NEW TERMINAL/PARKING GARAGE CONSTRUCTION It s estimated to take about seven years to design and construct the new terminal, parking garage and associated facilities. The goal is to open the new terminal when demand warrants. We will start Phase 3 based upon financing as well as the current 1950s terminal approaching capacity and/or becoming unsustainable due to age. OVER THE LAST THREE YEARS, PASSENGER TRAFFIC HAS INCREASED NEARLY 20 PERCENT AT JOHN GLENN INTERNATIONAL, WITH MORE THAN 7.5 MILLION PASSENGERS TRAVELING THROUGH THE AIRPORT IN 2017 Columbus is a vibrant and growing city the fastest growing metropolitan area in the Midwest. Research indicates that even with recent improvements, the current terminal at John Glenn International cannot match Columbus growth without seriously compromising the traveler experience and limiting airline growth.

What will the new terminal look like? A rendering has been created to represent the concept of the new terminal and supporting structures such as the new parking garage. This rendering demonstrates the location and function of the facilities, but the actual look of the terminal will be determined later through a detailed design process. MODERN AMENITIES, INCREASED EFFICIENCIES AND ROOM FOR EXPANSION
