2 OVERVIEW Orangeburg Cunty is seeking prpsals frm Kitchen Fd Service Equipment manufacturers and suppliers fr prductin and delivery f the kitchen fd service equipment fr the New Orangeburg Cunty Detentin Center. The prpsal shuld include the cst fr all wrk related t prviding the kitchen fd service equipment as described in this RFP, t include but nt limited t, shp drawings, manufacturing, detailing, prductin, delivery, manufacturer startup and warranty. This RFP is fr prviding materials and delivery nly. The Prpser shuld nt include a scpe fr installatin. Prpser is advised that it will be necessary t crdinate their effrts with the successful General Cntractr with the invlvement f the Cnstructin Manager. 5 General Include csts within the prpsal t prvide and deliver the indicated kitchen fd service equipment fr the New Orangeburg Cunty Detentin Center. The prpsal shall include the cst fr all wrk necessary t prvide a full set f Fr Cnstructin shp drawings. The prpsal shall further include the cst fr prductin f the indicated kitchen fd service equipment required t meet the minimum standards f the Bid Dcuments, including but nt limited t, finish, quantity, capacity, dimensins, perfrmance and warranty. The fd service equipment prvided shuld meet the electrical, plumbing and mechanical requirements indicated in the bid dcuments, including but nt limited t, vltage, utput, and hk up. A bid bnd shall be prvided by the prpser fr 5% f the value f the fd service equipment prpsal. A payment bnd shall be prvided by the successful prpser fr 100% f the value f the fd service equipment prpsal. The Owner will issue a Purchase Order t the successful Prpser and shall prvide payment upn agreement n payment terms prpsed and submitted by the successful Prpser. The successful prpser shall enter int a cntract with the Cunty t meet the terms f this RFP. Payment Terms The Successful Prpser will prvide the Cnstructin Manager (CM) with a detailed and itemized schedule f values (SOV) fr apprval. A valuatin shall be indicated fr each piece f fd service equipment. The SOV shall be the ttal valuatin f the materials equating t ne hundred percent f the ttal lump sum cst. The SOV shall include detailed breakdwn as required by the CM. N payment will be apprved by the CM prir t final apprval f the SOV. Shp Drawings The Prpser shall include all csts necessary t expedite the entire shp drawing prcess. The shp drawings shall be prvided fr initial review n later than the date indicated in this RFP. In rder t advance the schedule fr shp drawings the Prpser shall indicate an expedited initial shp drawing date fr RFP reviewer s evaluatin. This expedited initial shp drawing date shuld be prir t shp drawing dates nted herein. The Prpser shall stipulate the applicable required lead times fr shp drawings, prductin, and delivery f the fd service equipment after final shp drawing apprval. The Prpser is advised that Architect/Engineer apprved shp drawings are required fr the fd service equipment prir t starting prductin. Nte: 1) The Prpser will prvide t the Cnstructin Manager the fd service equipment shp drawings as a cmplete set. Partial sets f shp drawings will be rejected and will require resubmissin. The Prpser shall prperly label and transmit ne (1) riginal and three (3) cpies f shp drawings t the CM fr review and cmment by the Architect/Engineer. 2) The Prpser shall incrprate all Architect/Engineer review cmments int the shp drawings and re-submit ne (1) riginal and three (3) cpies f shp drawings t the CM fr review and apprval. 6 3) Upn final Architect/Engineer apprval, the Prpser shall prduce and transmit t the CM ne (1) riginal and five (5) cpies f final apprved shp drawings marked Fr Cnstructin. Only dcuments marked Fr Cnstructin shall be utilized fr prductin. Bnds The Prpser shall prvide a Bid Bnd, with the sealed prpsal, in the amunt f 5% f the value f the fd service equipment with the prpsal. The successful prpser shall prvide a Payment Bnd in the amunt f 100% f the value f the fd service equipment prpsal. Delivery The Prpser shall include delivery f all necessary materials t the new 2018/2019 Orangeburg Cunty Detentin Center lcated at 1534 Ellis Avenue, Orangeburg, Suth Carlina, 29118, lcated adjacent t the existing Detentin Center at 1520 Ellis Avenue, Orangeburg, Suth Carlina, The Prpser shall anticipate the sequence and quantities f these deliveries t be crdinated in agreement with the General Cntractr, by the CM. The Prpser is advised that these dates reflect the best practiced methds fr sequencing f cnstructin activities as currently understd by a scheduling prfessinal. The prvided schedule des nt reflect a mandated path t cmpletin. The Successful General Cntractr will be slely respnsible fr means and methds f cnstructin. Therefre, the Prpser is advised that multiple material delivery dates may be required and are herein indicated. The Prpser is further advised that these dates are subject t change.
