Module #2 - Niche Hunting (Affiliate Essentials Training) Cummings Co Inc.

01. Niche Hunting - My Method! The most important skill is picking a hot market packed with buyers. Speed! Set a timer and spend no more than 2 hours to pick a niche. I pick a new niche once a week or every other week. Do not get sucked into the black hole of internet research. Forget great products. Think great markets. For speed and to uncover big markets packed with buyers, I use exactly 8 tools: 1) CB Engine 2) Amazon Bestsellers and Most Wished For 3) ebay Buyers 4) The largest message boards and forums on the web 5) Flippa Sold Websites 6) Dummies.com 7) Magazines.com and Zinio.com 8) Google Desperate Buyer Method 02. The Clickbank Engine Method I use a ninja research tool that I highly recommend you get: Go to CB Engine here and register as a user Make a tab on your Master Spreadsheet called Niches. Make three columns: Traffic... Products... and Likeability.

The High Gravity Formula Home Page -> Use the Search Bar on the Right Hand Side Use drop down arrow to choose a category that you re feeling that day. It doesn t really matter, just pick one! Optional: Select Recurring to Yes Option, to limit your searches to those products with recurring back ends. On the search results page, sort by Gravity (from High Gravity to Low Gravity) Scan the list! We are doing free association niche research. Write down any niche markets that look good. If you think you ve found a good niche market, do another search using the main niche keyword to see if there are other CB products selling and check their gravity. Check Clickbank Insiders. Repeat above steps. Add good niches to your list. Check Clickbank Movers & Shakers. Repeat above steps. Add good niches to your list. Use Bookmark Manager to keep track of good looking markets You can create Hop Links right from within CB Engine Homework: Register yourself at CB Engine - click here. Then, spend no more than 30 minutes today poking around with the goal to identify some potentially awesome niche markets. Use the My Bookmark feature at cbengine to bookmark good looking markets.

03. Amazon Buyers! Amazon is the world s biggest marketplace and is the PERFECT place to uncover what people are actually BUYING. Go to Amazon List of Bestsellers here Go to Amazon Most Wished For List here A Great Idea! Study best-selling electronics. Could you create an online video training teaching how to use the device? eg. Canon EOS Rebel T2i for Beginners Since my primary focus is selling digital info products, I spend most of my time studying best selling non-fiction books section to uncover killer niches. A Ninja Trick! My buddy Andre Chaperoun uses this Amazon search query which is a goldmine: Amazon Search Reveals Every Item in Marketplace here Pick Category that interests you, sort by Popular. 04. ebay Buyers! ebay is the world s second biggest marketplace of buyers! This is my secret weapon: Go to ebay Pulse here Then go to ebay Reviews List here Again, we are pretty much repeating the action steps for the Amazon Buyers above, eg. we are looking at products getting huge number of sales and reviews as indication of rabid markets, and adding them to your Niche Markets list.

05. The Largest Forums If there is a massive, huge community based around a forum, that can indicate a massive, rabid niche market of potential buyers. Go to Big Boards here - and scan the largest message boards and forums on the web. I find many different forums that you can drill into and find so much to promote that your head will spin. Whenever I find a potentially good market, I will do a VERY quick Google search to see if people are paying for PPC Ads, and I ll also check Cb Engine to see if there are products listed and if so how is their gravity. 06. Flippa Sold Websites Flippa is the largest site on the web for buying & selling websites This is my secret weapon: Go to Flippa Sold Websites here Great ninja resource for two reason: Can see exactly what an income earning website looks like, is doing, there strategy. Great way to do free association niche research - I just scan through the websites selling for big bucks, and you'll find some amazing niches!

07. Dummies.com If there is a good niche market, than Dummies.com has probably written a book for it. Follow the footprints left by Dummies publishing! Go to Dummies.com here - and select a Category. Scroll to the bottom of the page and choose See All Books in Category Great way to do free association niche research - I just scan through the list if dummies books, to uncover some amazing niches! Add ones that look good, to your list of Niche Markets. 08. Magazines.com and Zinio.com Magazines are a great way to find LARGE niches! This is my secret weapon: Go to Magazines.com here Go to Vinio.com here If there's a magazine being published for a niche, that is the market SCREAMING to you that there's a high probability of commercial intent there, otherwise there'd be no magazines. Again, free association, and then I confirm the market with google and cd engine.

09. Google Desperate Buyers Finder An awesome method for uncovering desperate markets that have massive traffic and a need for a solution Go to Google Keyword Tool here This method uses Discovery Keywords. Discovery Keywords allow you to find solution seekers. What are the Discovery Keywords people use? "How to remove" "How to stop" "How to prevent" "How to get rid of" "How to cure" "How to fix" "How to quit" "How to" "How do i..." "How do you" Another Approach - Go to Google.com and use this Google Search Query: how to get * (the star - or asterisk - acts as a wildcard.) Ninja Secret Weapon - Go to Ubersuggest.org here 1) enter your base search 2) click on any of the terms to expand 3) click on the + to save the term to your download file 4) download text file

WINNOW DOWN YOUR LIST! Now that you have used my 8 tools to find some potentially awesome niche markets, the next steps are to winnow down your list and disqualify many of these niche markets. I call these Confirmation Tests. There are exactly four confirmation tests I put each niche through to uncover my Winner (that week). 1) I go to google, do a quick google search and see if there are people paying for ads. If so, that tells me there's COMMERCIAL INTENT and this is secondary evidence we may have a great niche. I immediately eliminate all the markets where I'm not seeing lots of ads. My GENERAL rule of thumb is I want to see at least four or more ads. 1b) While I am still in google search, I quickly scan the ads and first page organic listings. Are there folks selling info products in this niche or does it seem to be all physical products? I don t put a lot of weight on this cursory check, but I just make a mental note to myself. 2) Then I go back into CBEngine to see if there's related products selling for that niche, and I take a look at how well its doing (gravity). Some products ONLY sell well as a physical product, not as information products/digital download, we only want digital download markets (for now). 3) Then I go to Amazon.com and type in the main niche keyword into the search box. I look to see if there are books on this topic, are there lots of books or almost no books, and how active are the reviews? If there are four or more books that have active reviews, I proceed to the next test. 4) Google Traffic Test - This is one of the most important confirmation tests! If the niche doesn t have adequate traffic, I am not interested. My rule of thumb is I want to see traffic for the main niche keyword of 10,000 global searches per month or greater! (or three closely related keywords that total close to 10,000). If it does not pass my traffic test, I will usually not enter that niche. On the next page you will find a checklist of steps for doing the Google Traffic Test....

Google Traffic Test Checklist Go to CBengine -> Copy the vendors URL for his sales page Go to Google Keyword Tool here and login! In the URL box, paste the vendor s URL. Check "Only show ideas closely related" Click Columns button: Select Global Searches, Est. PPC, and COMPETITION. Sort by HIGHEST PPC Sort by SEARCHES SORT BY COMPETITION WHAT'S MY GO/NO GO CRITERIA? I want to see traffic of 10,000 searches month or > for the main niche keyword. Be flexible! If I see 3 keywords that get 3,500 searches EACH a month, taken together that exceeds my 10k goal doesn't it? So I would make an exception. If you having a hard time determining traffic for the niche, go back to the search box and delete the URL. Instead in the Keyword box type in MAIN NICHE KEYWORD (in quotes). This tells Google to show ONLY this one keyword, and you can quickly see traffic for it, eg. Learn Piano

Ok, now take bold and consistent action. I promise that the homework steps outlined in this are relatively painless. You know what to do. Now, go do it! Take action. And prosper. Regards, Ben Cummings Co Inc.
