(12 hour 10:30, 8 hour 12:30 and 4 hour 2:30) consignment@jcseagles.org to give the name of the new volunteer and then you can instruct them to sign up online just like you did. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES Choose Your Shift(s) Monday, September 24nd - Monday, October 1 To add your name to the schedule, please visit jcseagles.org/consignment-sale and login to volunteer. In exchange for early shopping privileges, we ask for your firm commitment in fulfilling the shift of your choice. If you are unable to fulfill your commitment for any reason, we ask that you find a replacement to cover your shift. If you are unable to find a replacement, you must contact us at consignment@jcseagles.org Failure to serve (or cover) a scheduled shift may result in loss of future privileges or participation. NOTE: JCS reserves the right to deny a volunteer request for any reason. As a worker, we understand that it is tempting to shop during your shift. We ask that you honor your work shift and give your full attention to what is needed during that time. We feel that it is dishonest to shop while you are supposed to be serving and we strongly discourage this behavior. If you, as a volunteer, are found to be shopping (particularly stashing or hiding items) during your shift, you will be pulled aside and counseled. You may be asked to leave and/or may be banned from volunteering for the JCS sale in the future. We take honesty and integrity very seriously at Jackson Christian School. ~ 3 ~

CONSIGNING PARTICIPATION GUIDELINES : Fall and Winter Items ONLY. IN-STYLE Women's, Men's, & Children's Clothing, Household Items, Baby Equipment, Toys, Books, Electronics, Furniture, Shoes, Jewelry, Sports Equipment, Tools, etc. Please make sure all items are clean and in working order. A minimum of 10 items must be contributed. A maximum of 120 items will be accepted per seller number. You may purchase another 120 tags for an additional $10, just contact us at consignment@jcseagles.org or come by the school. There is no need to register again under a different name or number to purchase additional tags. Consignors' checks are ready at pick up! No waiting! Consignors will receive 60% of the sales price. The JCS Business Office will not cut a check for less than $3.00. CONSIGNOR NUMBERS : You must register at jcseagles.org/consignment-sale to obtain your consignor number. Note if your last time to consign with us was prior to the fall of 2012, then your seller number will be different than past sales. You will be assigned a new number generated by My Consignment Manager. Once you register, come by the JCS elementary office and pay your registration fee of $10 and receive your cardstock to print your tags. Please DO NOT use any cardstock that is not provided by JCS. We use a color-coded system to sort. This system speeds up the sorting process and helps to ensure that your unsold items are being returned in the quickest manner, as well as, getting you checks to you as soon as possible! JCS will not be responsible for retuning items that have been tagged with cardstock not provided by our sale. ~ 4 ~

In order to have your $10 participation fee reimbursed, you must let us know when you pick up your cardstock if you plan to donate ALL items. This is the ONLY way the $10 participation fee will be reimbursed. Your tags will be Hot Pink and ALL unsold items will be donated without question. Otherwise your tags will be a designated color and you may choose to donate or not on an item by item basis. RECEIVING : When you register as a seller, click on check in schedule and chose the day and time that you would like to drop off your items. Monday September 24th, 4:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 25th 4:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 26th, 4:00-7:00 p.m. Please be prepared to place your items on the sales floor. NOTE: We strongly recommend that you take a moment at drop-off to do one last inspection of your merchandise before placing your items on the sales floor. The lighting in our gymnasium is different than in your home and sometimes tends to "bring out" stains and other faults. Please take a second look and don't allow undesirable items to make it to the floor. Thank you for understanding that our goal is to provide shoppers with top quality choices! Therefore, JCS reserves the right to refuse any items that we do not feel meet our sale standard. $1 will be deducted for each soiled, stained, torn or out of season item that we pull from the sales floor. In addition, items with missing buttons, broken zippers, etc. will be removed from the floor and charged. We are encouraged by the feedback from thousands of shoppers who are pleased that we are attempting to weed out undesirable items, leaving more spacious racks for ease in shopping. As a consignor, you want shoppers to see your items - which is less ~ 5 ~

likely if they have to pick through stained, torn, etc. items that are crowding the racks. Thank you in advance for a first-class sale! TAGGING : First you will need to go online at and register. *TIPS FOR CREATING TAGS* Here are some suggestions based on our experiences: First: get your items ready. Clothing: check for stains, hang, bag, etc. Toys, games, books, furniture, etc.: gather all pieces, check for batteries, etc. For clothing the system asks for info in the following order: price, half price, donates, size, description, gender. Either write a list of your items and then enter it all into the computer, or have your items next to you as you enter them. Find what works best for you. We suggest you enter 8 items at a time, print and tag. Always print in multiples of 8, since 8 items will fit on one sheet of card stock. When you are ready, enter info into the computer and print tags at your leisure. Doing all or most at once takes less time. You can enter your information up until September 23 until midnight. Next, pick up your color card stock at JCS from Sarah Patrick at D Door in the ELV. You can get card stock Monday thru Friday 3:30p-5:30p ONLY. The $10 participation fee, per set of 120 tags, will be collected when you pick up your cardstock rather than deducted from your check. In order for your $10 participation fee to be reimbursed, you must let us know when picking up your cardstock if you plan to donate ALL items. This is the ONLY way the $10 participation fee will be reimbursed. Your tags will be Hot Pink and ALL unsold items will be donated without question. Otherwise your tags will be a designated color and you may choose to donate or not on an item by item basis. Describe, describe, describe. It is worth it for you to take the time to completely describe an item on the tag. Yes, we see that they are blue jeans, but that is not enough for us to match the card with the item should they become separated. Old Navy Sweetheart blue jeans is better. Movie is not enough. Titanic Movie is better. ~ 6 ~

Please take care to cut your cards along the provided lines. It is imperative that the barcode remain in tact. Please cut above the area provided for pinning and below the price line. Please select the "DONATE" box if you wish to donate a particular item should it not sell. Please check the discount box if you want an item sold in the discount sale. Items with cards other than those printed from jcseagles.org/consignment-sale (MyCM) will NOT be accepted at drop-off. Walk-ins at drop-off will not be accepted. When facing the item, the hanger must point to the left and all tags must be secured to the top-right-front of the item with a safety pin. Tags secured with straight pins will not be accepted. Secure cards to large, non-clothing items with strong tape. Place small, non-clothing items in Ziploc bags with cards placed inside. (small toys, shoes, etc.) Wrap all loose items for toys in Saran Wrap. Adult pants need to be folded over a hanger. PRICING : Pricing is in whole dollar amounts only. When pricing your items, here is a tip: o Price to Sell 1/4 to 1/3 of the original price is a good rule of thumb (i.e., if you paid $100 for that smocked dress, price it at $25-30 or LOWER if you really want to get it out of your closets). Remember, it is RESALE. Most people are looking for quality items at a fraction of the cost. Few people will spend half of the original cost for resale. The secret of the people who sell their clothing and make the most money doing it is, price your items low and sell all of them. These people usually only pick up 1/3 or less of what they consign. DONATING : There are several options should you choose to donate either your items or your proceeds. Simply let us know your preference. ~ 7 ~

You may receive a check for 60% of your sold items and donate your leftover, unsold items to charity. Due to the nature of the donation, neither JCS nor the charity will be able to provide a receipt for the donation. You may choose to donate your portion of the proceeds (60%) to JCS and you may use it as a tax deductible contribution. Should you choose this option, please be specific as to instructions for us regarding your leftover, unsold items. You may either pick them up at the designated time, or donate them as well. CONSIGNOR SHOPPING : CONSIGNORS' EARLY SALE : Friday September 28th, 5:00p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Only consignors and one guest are eligible to attend this early sale. PICK-UP : Wednesday, October 3rd 4:00-7:00p.m. sharp! Consignors should pick up checks and unsold items at this time. As indicated by your signature on the Consignor Agreement, any items not picked up by 7:00 p.m. will be donated to charity. Due to increasing postage costs, we ask that if you live in Madison County that you make arrangements to pick up your check. Checks not picked up will be in the Elementary Office. LOST & FOUND : Please take time to firmly affix your tags with a detailed description. Remember, if your items become separated from their tags, we cannot sell them. Unfortunately, we have a number of items each season that come to our lost and found area. It is a shame when a customer sees the item and wants to buy it but there is no tag. Similarly, we have a number of lost tags each season. Frequently throughout the sale, we attempt to match the lost tags with any lost items. When we are successful we place your items back on the sales floor. ~ 8 ~

Neither Jackson Christian School nor the sale workers are responsible for lost, stolen or damaged items. All sales are final. HOLD PROCEDURE : Should you choose to purchase a large, non-clothing item, you may give the tag to the attendant in the area to your left as you enter Coffman Gym. The Hold Assistant will take your name, cell phone number and the time that your item was placed in the Hold Area. When your shopping is complete, you will ask the Hold Assistant to retrieve your hold tag(s) and they will give it to a check out attendant to process it along with the rest of your tags from items that you have decided to purchase. All large item tags placed in the Hold Area must be purchased and retrieved the same day they are placed on hold. This process will be strictly monitored. Remember for Fall 2018 Girl s and Boys shoes need to go in zip lock bags. If they are too large for a zip lock bag, please be prepared to place them on the floor under the correct size. Only Flat Screen TV s please. Mattress can only be sold with a bedroom set. Please no VHS tapes. Car Seats must be within the 6 year expiration date by law. ~ 9 ~
