Harmful if swallowed. Potential Health Effects: Eyes: Can cause severe burns and permanent damage to eyes. Skin: Can cause severe burns with deep ulceration burns. Ingestion: Can cause severe irritation and/or burns to the entire gastrointestinal tract, characterized by nausea, abdominal pain and possible diarrhea. 2 Section 4: First Aid Measures Eye Contact: Immediately flush with large amounts of water for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical attention. Skin Contact: Immediately wash the affected area with large amounts of water while removing contaminated clothing. Call a physician. Ingestion: If person is conscious give large amounts of water to drink. Do not induce vomiting. Call a physician. Inhalation: Move to fresh air. Support respiration. Call a physician. 3 Section 7: Handling and Storage: Wear proper protection equipment. This product may be added slowly to water or acids with dilution & constant stirring to avoid a violent exothermic reaction, full protective clothing should be worn. Avoid contact with aluminum, tin, zinc, & alloys containing these metals. Do not mix with strong acids without dilution & agitation to prevent violent or explosive reaction. Store in closed, properly labeled tanks or containers.
