2 Material compatibility: Metals P3-oxonia active S is, under the application conditions described below, compatible with chrome nickel steel Aluminium shows surface losses which remain within acceptable limits up to an application concentration of 1 %, but the stability of the sanitizing solution is impaired. Shortterm exposure up to 20 minutes is possible (see table of losses). P3-oxonia active S is not intended to be used with galvanized and tinned iron, mild steel, copper and copper alloys. As it is the case with all acidic/oxidative disinfectants, static disinfection should not be carried out due to the risk of pitting corrosion. Static solutions, high chloride content in the batch water and high temperatures favour pitting corrosion. Indication! Plastics The concentrate of P3-oxonia active S is incompatible with austenitic CrNi steels (quality at least DIN = AISI 304) oxidation-resistant plastics like teflon, PE For pumping concentrate, dosage pumps with dispensing heads and hoses of PVDF or teflon are recommended. Special acids enable conductivity-controlled dosing, measurement and control and guarantee an excellent stability in the application solution.

4 P3-oxonia active S is suitable for disinfecting fermentation, storage and bottling tanks as well as plant and equipment in filtering and filling cellars in the brewing industry. The application indications are assumed values to our experiences and may be corrected, depending on specific application conditions. Important indications! Effluent, containing chemicals, must only be discharged according to the local regulations Chemicals containing effluent must only be discharged into the biological treatment station after passing the neutralization- and buffer tank When discharging chemically polluted effluent, it is essential to pay specific attention to the bacteria toxicity of this water. This is especially important when dealing with biocide containing effluents and anaerobic sewage plants In case of doubt please seek advice from our technical service

We recommend the use of P3-Elados EMP-diaphragm pumps for metering and the use of inductive conductivity units, e. g. P3-LMIT 08 for control and phase separation of the application solution of P3-oxonia active S. Our P3-System brochures are available on request.
