1 Permanent coating, which facilitates removal of graffiti. Agent description: KTX 07 is a unique, single component, colorlessly drying agent based on synthetic organosilicon polymers, applicable for surface protection against graffiti, with a strong protective, anti-adhesive function, which makes it difficult or even impossible to stick posters, stickers, and adhesive tapes. The agent is fast drying, cures under the influence of moisture contained in the air and has good adhesive qualities. The treated surface is ideally protected against aerosol graffiti paints and most commercially available markers, ink, bird droppings, dirt, acid rain, moist, chewing gum, posters, stickers and glue. On its application, KTX 07 constitutes a release liner which prevents paints/pigments/glues from penetrating into the foundation and reduces their adhesiveness by forming easilyremovable concentrations. KTX 07 is a product with preservative properties and UV filters thanks to which it preserves the colour of the protected surface. It enables diffusion. It prevents water and hazardous substances from penetrating into the surface Texture of protected surfaces is maintained. It is available in three options: glossy, matte, colour. KTX 07 has been awarded technical Approval by IBDiM: No. AT/ Technical data: Solid substance content: 45-55% Density in 20 C: 0,88 g/cm³ ph: 7-8 Appearance: colorless - grey VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds): 470 g/l Technical data after application: Durability of the coating amounts to 20 years. Removal of graffiti: up to 100 cycles. (first degree removability) Dry coating thickness to 180 µm. Full anti-graffiti protection after 7 hours. Hydrophobic product. No significant reduction in vapour diffusion, it is UV-resistant, alkaline-resistant, drying without becoming sticky. Fully cured after four days. KTX 07 is durable system facilitating multiple removal of graffiti paints. Appearance on the surface The coating on the surface can look either matte or glossy (depending on the selected option)which can be more or less visible depending on the type of surface, amount and angle of sunlight. Some absorptive surfaces may become darker. This can be prevented or minimised by using PX 07 primer first. 1

2 Areas of application: KTX 07 can be used on smooth as well as on porous absorptive surfaces made of building materials such as: sand-lime bricks, ordinary bricks, clinker, plaster, concrete, natural stone e.g. sandstone, granite, travertine, most paint coatings, also for sculptures, monuments, wood and for thermal insulating systems. It is intended for use on nonabsorptive surfaces such as ceramics, plastics, laminates, steel. The glossy option shows lower adhesion to smooth non-absorptive surfaces. In the case of adhesion difficulty, it is recommended to use matte option in the first layer and the glossy one next. In this way we gain good adhesion and finish in gloss. Due to a large variety of protected bases, it is recommended to carry out initial testing before application to check reaction of the agent with the surface. Surface: The surface must be dry and cleaned of all atmospheric impurities, dirt, hazardous substances, oils and fats, as well as biological and organic efflorescence. Non-absorptive surfaces e.g. plastics, powdered paints must be degreased with isopropyl alcohol, and if adhesiveness of the surface is lower application of a primer for plastics is recommended. Residues of cleaning agents after application may have adverse influence on activity of the agent KTX 07, therefore they have to be removed entirely. The parts of elevation, which should not be in contact with the protecting agent should be covered with e.g. building foil. Surface temperature minimum 3 C above the dew point. Relative air humidity cannot exceed 80%. Directions for use: After opening container the agent must be well mixed for 1 minute by means of slow running mixer, next it must be left for about 2 minutes, and finally it can be applied. Mixing is especially important in the case of coating of the matte option due to matte factor added, which has to be well mixed in the entire capacity of the package. The container should be closed after pouring adequate amount of the agent (in opened the coating will cure). Unused material should be poured into smaller clean containers, which will be entirely filled with coating. Possible access of air will have slow the curing effect and subsequent crosslinking. In the case of prolonged application, the coating must be mixed every 30 minutes. Depending on the weather conditions the average time of coating application is 2 hours at temperature of 20 C, but in less favourable conditions this time may extend even to 6 hours. Coating application: 5-30 C Primer application: 8-30 C The coating should be applied precisely in order to cover all irregularities and cracks within the structure of the material, failure to do so may cause problems while removing graffiti. The agent is applied in one or two layers. It is recommended to use PX 07 primer filler in single layer on very absorptive materials. It allows reducing the wear of coating and prevents or minimizes the darkening effect of protected surface. The time between the 2

3 primer application and the first layer of anti-graffiti coating should be 24 hours. After about 4 hours at drying temperature of 20 C external curing of the anti-graffiti coating occurs and application of another layer is possible. The full dryness of the coating is obtained after 6 to 7 hours at temperature of +20 C. There are no time limits in application of the second layer or filling the coating. Protected surface should be rinsed with water to remove dust and other impurities, in the case of longer break between application of the two layers. Seven days break should be made for seasoning the paint, if the coating is applied to the newly painted surface. In case of poor adhesion of coating to the surface it is necessary to use a primer filler appropriate for individual surface type. It should be noted that not too much coat should be put on smooth surfaces. In the case streaks occur they should be distributed on the surface by means of a roller before they dry. The agent can be applied with an airless spraying nozzle and also by using rollers for solvent-based paints. When applying coloured protection, the first layer should be coloured and the top one colourless. It can be used in ventilated rooms. Graffiti removal: Graffiti removal from protected surface: From smooth surface: Sprinkle graffiti with water and by means of moist cloth or sponge remove the graffiti. Addition of delicate washing preparation in form of liquid soap or dishwashing liquid speeds up the process of graffiti paints removal. From porous surface: By means of a brush with soft hair with addition of water and washing preparation in form of liquid soap or dishwashing liquid. Graffiti removal from larger surfaces can be carried out by means of high pressure cleaner with water jet at temperature up to 40 C and pressure to 80 bar. After graffiti removal there is no need for another coating, because only graffiti has been removed and the protection layer is intact. If necessary, the coating can be removed by means of high pressure cleaner with jet water parameter over 100 bar / 80 C. The coating may get destroyed if the used pressure is above 90 bar or turbo system rotating nozzle, narrow nozzle jet or lance washing end is too close to the cleaned surface. Intensive wiping of coating may damage the protective layer. Strong removers based on solvents should not be used, because they may damage the coating or reduce the number of cycles of graffiti washing. Removal of posters and glues: Glued posters, tapes, stickers fall off themselves after short exposure as a result of wind and rain or they can be removed by hand. Residual of glues located on protected base and posters which are glued by means of special glues can be removed by means of high pressure cleaners with water jet at temperature to 40 C and pressure to 70 bar. 3

4 Consumption: The basic principle is to make 1 to 2 layers. With absorptive materials it is recommended to use 2 layers. Practical coverage - depends on conditions existing during application, method of application, shape and roughness of protected surface and also base absorption and loss during application. Theoretical coverage: 6 to 15 m² / 1 L Medium bsorptive surfaces, non-porous: 8 to 10 m² / 1 L (two layers) e.g. plasters, brick, elevation paints. Very absorptive surfaces, non-porous: 6 to 8 m² / 1 L (two layers) e.g. sandstone, concrete. Non-absorptive smooth surfaces: to 15 m² / 1 L (one to two layers) e.g. steel, ceramics, surfaces painted with anti-corrosive paints and hydrophobic paints. In order to increase the coverage on absorptive surfaces it is recommended to use the PX primer filler. Primer filler PX 07: to 12 m² / 1 L (one layer) Packaging: Plastic: 1 L, 5L, 10L, 20L, 25L. Metal: 5 L, 10 L, (at special request). Drums: 160 L. Storage: In temperature + 5 to + 25 C. Don t expose to sun light. Durability: 12 months in closed original packaging. Cleaning the tools: Before use, painting sprayers must be dried including the tubes, to avoid curing of the coating in contact with moisture. Xylene must be used for cleaning spraying machines and rollers before and after work. Usually, rollers and brushes are not suited for cleaning or further use. Hazards and safety instructions: Pay attention to environment and follow the rules for working with chemicals. The agent must be kept out of reach of children. Wear protective gloves, glasses and clothing during operation. Use individual respiratory protection equipment. The gloves should be made of butylene rubber. Prolonged contact with the agent may cause skin dryness. 4
