2 INTRODUCTION In 1986 Calvert Group began manufacturing seamless carbon, alloy, stainless and duplex/super duplex pipe and fittings for the oil, gas, power industries and also gas/steam injection pipe. In 1991 Calvert started the production of Heavy Crude Double Wall Jacketed Insulated pipe, clad pipe and casing/tubing and drill pipe. In late 2006, Calvert commissioned the world s most advance large diameter production and inline inspection monitoring technology for carbon, stainless steel, alloy and chrome seamless pipe making. In addition to pipe making Calvert also maintains an in-house certified NACE Laboratory. In 2007, annual production of large diameter seamless increased to over 266,000 tons for both on/offshore pipe and 4,600 tons of large diameter induction bending. In 2008, American Steel Institute presented our new mill with the Q1A award for quality, safety and ontime deliveries to oil and gas industry. Calvert Group also works extensively with research centers, universities, independent laboratories and leading metallurgical scientist worldwide to develop special products for H²S and CO² corrosive applications. 5 Calvert Group currently holds ownership to the world s largest diameter seamless pipe production mill that first produces billets ¾ to 20 then pipe in carbon, alloys and chromes in diameter ranges from 1 to 36 and wall thicknesses up to 6. Built in 2006 the total production area covers 640,000M² and consists of four piercing and mandrel lines producing an annual capacity of 480,000 tons. Coating and Lining includes three complete facilities for FBE, Epoxy and 3LPE. Lining includes epoxy and resigns. Transportation to Shanghai port is within a 3 hour drive by truck or 5 hours per barge. In addition to our new main large diameter production mill Calvert also maintains an additional 22 manufacturing facilities including welded pipe, valves and vessels throughout China. The main facilities are composed of Steel Tube Works for Seamless, Drill Pipe, Casing & tubing, Super Heavy Wall Pipe and alloy pipe for power plants and boilers SCHEDULE STEEL TUBES
