14 V-active VCI Preservation Theory V-active VCI Carrier V-active VCI Vapor + Electrolyte V-active VCI Protective Layer VCI molecules are released by V-active VCI carrier; ionised by moisture / water; attracted to metal surface; forms a protective mono molecular barrier that repels oxygen; impermeable ion-bonded protective layer.
