They also incorporate a Fiber Bragg Grating to narrow and stabilize the pump laser wavelength. The products are available in production volumes with fiber coupled packages having optical kink-free powers up to 300mW at center wavelengths from 974 to 979nm. They offer extraordinary wavelength locking capabilities and superb power stability over an extended range at operating powers, temperatures and time. Optilock pump lasers maintain long-term performance of DWDM networks by eliminating wavelength unlocking that occurs as a result of handling, aging, or inevitable change in fiber grating orientation and stress. Reliability of Corning Lasertron lasers has been demonstrated by more than 150,000 field devices operating cumulatively for over one billion hours. Applications Corning Lasertron s 980nm Fiber Bragg Grating stabilized pump laser is designed for DWDM optical amplifiers (EDFAs), servicing telecom, CATV, and data communications applications.

Single Fixed Narrow-Band Spectrum Over Time OptiLock pump lasers exhibit superb wavelength and power stability over time and over a wide range of operating powers to enable flexible EDFA applications.
