3 Technical Industry We are a leading company for innovative and top-quality high-tech products in the chemical and pharmaceutical sectors. The chemicals portfolio of the Performance Materials business includes specialty products used for technical applications. These chemicals are part of the Technical Industry portfolio and can be used, for example, in electroplating, in the glass industry, for piezoceramic applications, as solvents or plasticizers. The products are available as extra pure or for synthesis grades under brand names including Technipur and Photo-Rex.

Please find in the following some examples of our services: Mixing We can supply you with mixtures of solids that exactly meet your needs and are prepared from raw materials to your exact specification. We invite you to take advantage of our considerable expertise and high quality production facilities. Milling, compacting, tabletting A chemical is too coarse or fine for your particular application? No problem! We will mill, compact or tablet solid substances to produce the reagents you require in the right particle size. In many applications it is vital that no particles abrade off the mill and fall into the product. With especially hard substances such as apatites there is no easy solution to the problem. We overcome it by using air-jet mills which we have available for productionscale runs with capacities of up to 500 kg/day. A salt composition may be achieved by dry mixing. But if demixing is a problem we can achieve a homogenuous granulate of a specific particle size in which every particle has the same composition. Simple crystallization would usually not result in the desired salt composition. Wet granulation, compaction and crushing or co-spray granulation are technologies in our portfolio to achieve this goal.
