CONVEYOR BELTING

ConveyorTek is a leading supplier of conveyor belt, conveyor components, installation and vulcanising services to the mineral processing, recycling and logistics industries. The ConveyorTek brand of belts is manufactured to international DIN and ISO standards, and is regularly tested to ensure that standards are achieved. We offer a wide range of high quality conveyor belting to suit all applications including: Wear resistant ChevronTek cleated Heat resistant Oil resistant Flameproof Steel cord Additional programme conveyor belting All ConveyorTek conveyor belting is certified to the appropriate international standard and comes with a two-year warranty against manufacturing defects. Our Company has a highly trained and experienced team of application engineers who are pleased to advise you on all of your technical and operational conveying needs. ConveyorTek is ISO 9001 Certified TWO YEAR WEAR RESISTANT ConveyorTek wear resistant conveyor belting is specifically manufactured using a robust EP fabric and a highly wear resistant cover rubber for use in the most arduous conditions. It is designed for handling heavy and abrasive materials such as ore, crushed rock, sand and gravel, coal, cement, potash and phosphate. All ConveyorTek belts are manufactured and tested to DIN and ISO standards to ensure reliability. Standard stock specifications include EP500/ DIN and EP630/4 6+2 DIN 22102, with all other specifications available on request. Certificates of conformity are available for all belt specifications. 3 CHEVRON CLEATED ConveyorTek ChevronTek cleated conveyor belting is used for transporting material up inclined angles normally over conveyor inclines of 20 degrees or more. It is constructed of a robust EP fabric and a highly wear resistant DIN cover rubber. The cleats are hot moulded on to the belt ensuring maximum longevity and come in cleat heights of 15mm and 25mm as standard. Base belt available as standard EP315/3 3+1 DIN with the 15mm high cleat option and EP500/3 4+2 DIN with the 25mm high option, and other specifications are available on request. HEAT RESISTANT ConveyorTek heat resistant conveyor belting is used in various industries for transporting hot and abrasive materials. Standard wear resistant covers should only carry materials up to a maximum of 100 C. For higher temperatures, a special heat resistant rubber compound is required to prevent premature aging (surface cracking) and degradation of the belt cover rubber. Our heat resistant covers come in two heat resistant grades, TEK150 and TEK200, resistant up to material maximum temperatures of 150 C and 200 C respectively. Suitable for handling hot materials such as clinker, cement, coke, sinter, slag and foundry sand. Hot moulded cleats 15mm or 25mm high High wear and cut resistance Excellent impact resistance Stretch resistance Maximum material temperature 100 C Anti-static to ISO

OIL RESISTANT ConveyorTek oil resistant conveyor belting is used for transporting materials containing mineral and vegetable oils. When ordinary rubber covers absorb oil from the transported material, they cause the rubber cover to swell, which results in the belt curling up on the conveyor and hence the belt becomes ineffective at transporting material. Our oil resistant cover compounds prevent swelling. They come in two standard specifications: MOR (moderate oil resistance) and OR (fully oil resistant). Oil resistant belts are available in flat and chevron belt options. Suitable for handling materials such as refuse, fertiliser, grain, wood chip and fatty materials. FLAMEPROOF ConveyorTek flameproof conveyor belting is used for transporting material in areas where the risk of fire and the spread of fire needs to be carefully controlled and managed. Areas of application include underground mining and confined or enclosed areas, such as factories and storage areas. Our flameproof covers come in two standard grades, K-TEK (flameproof covers) and S-TEK (flameproof with and without covers). Both are manufactured to DIN and EN and are flameproof according to ISO R 433 and tested to ISO R 340. Other cover standards are available on request and our engineers can advise on the most suitable cover rubber selection depending on the application and the site-specific health and safety and legislative requirements

STEEL CORD ConveyorTek steel cord conveyor belting is manufactured to DIN and ISO and can be supplied in high tensile strengths from ST 630 N/mm to ST 5400 N/mm (fabric belting maximum strength EP3000 N/mm). Steel cord belt is generally used in high capacity applications where material is conveyed over large distances. The low elongation makes it possible to achieve the use of long conveyors with minimal tension travel. It is used in various industries where long conveying distances are required, such as mining, mineral extraction, power stations and ports. Steel cord belts can be supplied with wear resistant, heat resistant and flameproof covers, and are available with embedded loop protection. ADDITIONAL PROGRAMME In addition to our standard programme of supply, ConveyorTek also supply a range of conveyor belting as follows: Grip face belting Sidewall and cleated belting Friction back belting Elevator belting PVC and PU belting Rip protection belting Extra wide truck unloader belting 8 9

BELT DESCRIPTION Width of belt (mm) The metric belt width described in millimetres. Where the belt is described in imperial measurements, such as inches, the metric width will be selected, e.g. 24 = 600mm. Type of carcass (fabrics) EP fabric consists of E (polyester) and P (polyamide) combined to give high strength, high impact resistance, excellent flexibility and negligible elongation. Rated breaking strength (N/mm) Rated breaking strength is 10 times the calculated working tension. The total strength is the total of the number of plies times the tensile strength of each ply, e.g. 800/4 is 4 x 200 N/mm plies. Number of fabric plies The number of plies used to make up the total belt strength. Note that more plies do not necessarily mean that the belt is stronger, e.g. a 630/2 (2 ply) is stronger than a 500/3 (3 ply). Top and bottom cover thickness (mm) The thickness of the top and bottom cover respectively. The cover should always be specified with the cover grade below. Cover rubber grade The specification and quality standard of the cover rubber. It is important to specify this when purchasing a belt.
