An Answer to orrosion 01-ompany 22 ebruary

Non-luorinated Polymers Ultra igh Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UMW-PE) Melting point 130. Application temp. range -140 to 90 Tradenames (manufacturers): R100 (elanese) Materials 22 ebruary

Non-luorinated Polymers Polypropylene (PP) Melting point 160. Application temp. range -20 to 90 Very limited chem. resistance Tradenames (manufacturers): ostalen PP (Basell) Vestolen (Sabic) etc Materials 22 ebruary

Partially fluorinated plastics Polyvinylidenefluoride (PVD) Melting point range about 170 to 180 Application temperature range approx. 100 to 130. Limited chem. resistance but considerably better than PE and PP. PVD is attacked e.g. by ketone, ester and organic amines. Tradenames (manufacturers): Kynar (Arkema) Solef, ylar (Solexis) Materials 22 ebruary

Partially fluorinated plastics Ethylene-Tetrafluoroethylene-opolymer (ETE) Semi-crystalline copolymer made of tetrafluoroethylene (TE) and ethylene. Very high toughness, tear strength and good abrasion resistance. Good chemical resistance, Application temperatures up to 150. Processing: transfermoulding, extrusion, injection moulding, rotomoulding. Tradenames (manufacturers): Tefzel (DuPont) Dyneon (Dyneon) Aflon (AG) Neoflon (Daikin) Materials 22 ebruary

ully fluorinated plastics Polytetrafluorethylene (PTE) Semi-crystalline material, polymerised TE monomer Extremely strong bond btw. fluorine and carbon atoms Melting point 327. Application temperature range 200 to 260 Tradenames (manufacturers): Dyneon (Dyneon) Teflon (DuPont) 01-ompany 22 ebruary

ully fluorinated plastics Polytetrafluorethylene (PTE) Semi-crystalline material, polymerisation of monomer tetrafluoroethylene (TE). Extremely stable link btw. fluorine and carbon atoms luorine atoms form a tight protection around the carbon chain. Melting point 327. Application temperature t range 200 to 260 (for valve / pump designs max. 200 ) 01-ompany 22 ebruary

ully fluorinated plastics Perfluoroalkoxy opolymer (PA) PTE with approx. 4 % modifier perfluoropropylvinylether (PPVE) Melting point 310. Application temperature range approx. 200 to 260 (for valves / pumps max. 200 ). best chemical and high thermal resistance, nearly identical to PTE Tradenames (manufacturer): Dyneon (Dyneon) Teflon (DuPont) O ompany 22 ebruary
