Main Projects

In June-October 2016, the Company Volgo-Baltic Logistic participated in the organization of the project transportation of the equipment for the Omsk Refinery. Equipment manufactured by PJSC Izhorskyie Zavody and JSC Volgogradneftemash were loaded on the barges and an involved fleet of the partner companies. Overall 15 pieces of the equipment were delivered to the Gulf of Ob for the discharging. 8 units of the Chinese origin equipment were loaded at the port of Shanghai on m/v Mirabella (Jumbo Shipping) and delivered to the Gulf of Ob. Transportation of the equipment for the Omsk Refinery (2016) In view of the quay infrastructure deficit in the Gulf of Ob, the laborious and complicated operation to direct transhipment of the equipment to the barges under the supervision of managers of the Company VBL was carried out on the roads of the port of Sabetta. The transportation route of the atmospheric column from the pier of JSC Volgogradneftemash to Omsk ran through the Volga-Baltic Canal, White Sea- Baltic Canal, the Northern Sea Route, the rivers Ob and Irtysh, which makes this transportation unique in its kind. 2

Project Shah Deniz 2 - equipment for underwater drilling (2015-2016) In 2015-2016 VBL delivered 21 units of equipment designed for underwater drilling. For transportation were used barges: S.P.A. 1, S.P.A. 2, Volgo-Baltica, KMG-107, KMG-108, 2034. Maximum cargo dimensions : height up to 12,20 meters; width up to 11 meters; length up to 19,75 meters. 3

Transportations for petrochemical/chemical industry (2011-2015) In September 2015 LC VBL fulfilled transportation of 2 reactors from Saint- Petersburg to Nizhnekamsk using 2033 barge. Loading/unloading organized by roro method. In 2014 71 oversized items, inc. 27 items from Deggendorf and 44 items from Antwerp were delivered to Nizhnekamsk and Ufa for the following land transportation to Salavat. VBL developed the complicated scheme of the cargo delivery from Deggendorf and Antwerp to consolidation port of Nizhnekamsk with the following transportation of the most critical items by RO-RO barges. In 2011-2012 LC VBL delivered oversize equipment (30 000 freight tones) for the construction of a complex for PVC production in the Kstovo district of Nizhny Novgorod region. 4

Transportation of nuclear reactors (2013-2015) Volgo-Baltic Logistic transported 2 nuclear reactors for Rostov and Novovoronezh nuclear power stations (Rosatom) from Saint-Petersburg to Volgodonsk in 2013 and 2015 and Novovoronezh in 2013. In 2014 the reactor body was transferred from Izhora plant to special jetty in Volgodonsk. In the same year the reactor body was transferred from Izhora plant to ro-ro jetty on Neva river through two railway bypasses. Then the barge follow to the port of Saint-Petersburg, where the heavy item was transshipped for the following transportation to China. The cargo was loaded onto the barges using ro-ro method. Dimensions of nuclear reactor body: length - 11,54 meters; width 5,6 meters; height 5,47 meters; weight - 332,7 tons. 5

In winter 2014 VBL together with Jumbo Shipping delivered from Margera port (Italy) to the port of Temryuk and transshipped 10 adsorbtion columns for purification plant of Gazprom (CS Kazachya ). To implement the complex transshipment under condition of low draft (4,5m), the stabilization pontoons were used. Each column weight was 225 tons, length 19m, diameter 5m. Delivery of 8 reactors from Russia and Italy for 3 Rosneft refineries in Samara region (2013) 6 reactors produced by Izhorskiye Zavody (Saint- Petersburg) were delivered on flat-top ro-ro barges from Saint-Petersburg to 3 different locations in Samara region : Kuibyshev, Novokuibyshevsk and Syzran refineries of Rosneft since September till November 2013. RO-RO Loading of all 6 reactors onto barges took place on Izhorskiye Zavody berth located on Neva river, discharging of equipment was made by RO-RO (4 reactors) and LO-LO (2 reactors) methods. 2 reactors produced by BELLELI ENERGY, ITALY were delivered to Novokuibyshevsk refinery of Rosneft also. These reactors were transported on crane vessel from Italy (Venice) to Ilychevsk (Ukraine), transferred to 16801-type barge by vessel`s cranes, and delivered by inland Russian water ways to RO-RO berth in Samara region for discharge and further land transportation. Each reactor weight was 600-750tn, length was 30-45m, diameter was 4,5-5m. 7

Project: Transportation of 6 hydrotreating and hydrocracking reactors for Tuapse refinery from Izhora plant (2012) and 4 heavy pressured vessels from Volgograd (2013). Tuapse refinery project (Rosneft) (2012-2013) Restrictions: 6 heavy-lift oversized reactors, total tonnage 5000tn: 4 reactors, each: weight 600tn 2 reactors, each: weight 1300tn; (2012) 4 heavy pressured vessels with total weight: 370tn. (2013) Loading/unloading RO-RO. Solution: During the transportation 4 tugs and 2 16801 project barges were involved. 4 voyages were made through inland waterways of Russia. Loading on Izhora plant pierce and unloading on Tuapse refinery pierce were made using RO-RO method. (2012) In the end of navigation period 2013 the equipment was delivered through Russian inland water ways, Azov and Black Seas on S.P.A.2 pontoon. LO-LO loading was made on Volgogradneftemash crane berth. Discharge to the berth of Tuapse dockyard was made by RO-RO modular transporters. 8

Tobolsk project (2010 2011) Project: The delivery of oversize equipment (more then 30 000 freight tons) for the new dehydrogenating unit in Tobolsk. Restrictions: Huge dimensions of some columns: Propylene-Propane Stripper 96 x 9,7 x 9,5 m; weight 1023 tons; Deethanizer stripper 61 x 8,8 x 7,2 m; weight 756 tons Shortage of suitable barges on the market; Short summer navigation. Solution: Construction of new flat top barge with length 102 m Development of projects for carriage and sea fastening 12 vessels ST type and barges with tugs were employed; 15 voyages were made. 9

Carriage of production modules to Caspian region (since 2006) Project: Restrictions: Delivery of production modules, rescue and salvage vessels (IBEEV) and large-block equipment for oil production complex according to North Kazakhstan oil fields Kashagan development program. Floating modules with limitation of dimensions (heights and drafts) for inland Russian Federation waters proceeding; Necessity to get permission for transit proceeding within Russian territory of floating objects without crew and flag; Necessity to perform custom clearance for transit at the first Russian port of entry. Solution: Development of study for carriage and sea fastening of heavy lifts and oversized equipment on barges/vessels, projects of safety passage for floating modules via inland Russian water ways; Arrangement of floating Objects survey by the supervising authorities Getting of one trip certificate; Development of ballasting schemes to proceed via river parts with restrictions; Decreasing of total value of delivery due to dock wise vessels using; Direct connection by the river tugs after load out operation in Azov sea to decrease time of transit. During last five years more then 100 barges and production modules with oil-chemical equipment were towed through Russia inland water ways (two main routs: Baltic sea Astrakhan; Azov sea - Astrakhan) for AGIP KCO. VBL is the largest carrier of equipment for Kashagan oil field! 10

Transportation of large consignment of pipes to Baku (2002) Project: Transportation of 185 000 tonnes of pipes from Dunkirk to Baku (final client BP) Restrictions: All pipes had to be delivered within summer navigation 2002 Solution: Different vessels of our own fleet were employed, delivery were done on time due to the optimal synchronization and coordination of technical, operator and commercial management of VBL LLC, North-West Shipping Company JSC, Volga shipping JSC 11
