www.beltlogistics.de www.beltlogistics.dk The Interreg IV A Project BeltLogistics Background BeltLogistics aims at establishing cross-border cooperation between associations and public authorities dealing with the transport and logistics sector including the knowledge and research institutions as well. The Fact-Finding-Tour to Port of Lübeck is an opportunity for German and Danish companies, public authorities and educational institutions to get information about how Port of Lübeck is facing future challenges, what are the major logistics activities and strategic planning in regard to the Fixed Fehmarnbelt Link. The Port of Lübeck is mainly represented by the terminals of the two port operators, Lübecker Hafen-Gesellschaft mbh (LHG) (www.lhg.com) and Lehmann GmbH (www.hans-lehmann.de). The Port of Lübeck is the most southwesterly transshipment centre on the Baltic Sea and performs the function of a hub for the transport corridors between Southern, Western and Central Europe and the Baltic economic area. As part of the Fact-Finding-Tour Lübecker Hafen-Gesellschaft mbh and Lehmann GmbH will present their logistics activities and their strategic planning for the future. The project BeltLogistics was initiated by Wirtschaftsförderung Lübeck GmbH and Roskilde University in connection with the development scheme of the Fehmarnbelt-Region 2007-2013 through the EU support program INTERREG IVA. The Fact-Finding-Tour will be held in English.
