FRAMEWORK OVERVIEW The Business Administration BTEC and NVQ Diploma provides individuals with the knowledge and skills for a high level administrative role. The programme consists of a BTEC Diploma and an NVQ Diploma. The BTEC has three mandatory and 18 optional units. The NVQ has four mandatory and 40 optional units. The optional units are designed to be tailored to the needs of the learner and employer. The mandatory units are as follows: BTEC Diploma; business administration systems, communicating in a business, managing self-development NVQ Diploma; resolve administrative problems, manage the work of an administrative function, communicate in a business environment, manage personal and professional development HOW WE DELIVER Whilst the programme overview identifies the plan for the delivery of the apprenticeship we appreciate that individual learners and their employers have individual needs, learning requirements and business objectives. To ensure that we can support you to meet these we will complete an in-depth initial skills analysis, allowing us to tailor our delivery to meet these unique requirements. KEY FACTS DURATION: STANDARD GUIDELINE: 18-24 MONTHS Timeframes are flexible depending on the employer and/or the apprentice s ability to be successful on the programme. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: LEVEL 2 The learner will need to demonstrate they are working to a level 2 Standard in a relevant role to demonstrate the knowledge, skills and behaviours identified. COURSE DETAILS BTEC HIGHER APPRENTICESHIP IN BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL ADMINISTRATION LEVEL 4 This qualification provides the knowledge and competency of the level 4 demonstrating workplace abilities. It also gives understanding of the job being trained for. ON-GOING ASSESSMENT These qualifications contain both knowledge and competence units, assessed through a combination of internal and external assessment. PROGRESSION This apprenticeship is suitable for job roles such as manager, senior manager, director and head of department, within a business administration setting.
