Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Tajikistan Transport system in Dushanbe

According to the application areas and coordination of institutional arrangements for planning, development, implementation and monitoring of the transport systems and projects, the official website of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Tajikistan (www.mintrans.tj) routes created section for information about the types of services Dushanbe public transport. This section shows the type of transport, route, fare price and the form of questionnaire for suggestions and comments on service Dushanbe public passenger transport. In addition, in the capital Dushanbe established first information electronic display for the public transport. This initiative is being piloted in the framework of the UNDP Project "Support to the sustainable management of transport in the city of Dushanbe", funded by the Global Environment Facility. Such devices will be installed at 25 stops along Rudaki Avenue Dushanbe, and will allow passengers to be aware of the time of arrival of the routes of data in real time.

It is expected that this will significantly improve the quality of services provided by transport operators of these routes as well as to improve the control over the schedule of their movement by the dispatching service, which will be implemented SCUE "Dushanbenakliyothadamotrason". For the formation of efficient public transport system that meets the growing needs of the population, guaranteed, affordable and safe passenger transport to ensure the quality of life of the population and economic growth of the city of Dushanbe, it is necessary to implement a set of tasks and activities that provide: 1). Development of competition in the market of transport services (This will ensure that the work of the mechanism of "price - quality" and will make the price and quality of the subject of competition and also optimizes the balance between them; 2) Improving public transport infrastructure: - Creation on the basis of train and bus stations, modern passenger terminal, allowing to provide not only an increase in passenger traffic and the provision of high-quality transport services for passengers, but also perform the function of passenger transport interchange hub, combining different modes of transport;

3) Improving public transport security - Increasing antiterrorist protection of transport infrastructure and vehicles by equipping them with modern systems of control of passengers and unauthorized access; - Encourage the use of vehicles complying with the applicable safety requirements; - Improving the regulation of the procedures of admission of carriers on the market in the observance of road safety through the formation of conditions for participation in competitions (the presence of maintenance and repair base, the possibility of pre-trip and after-the technical inspection of vehicles, and medical monitoring drivers' health, provision of parking conditions, recruitment appropriate qualifications); 4) Reducing the harmful impact of public transport on the environment - Develop and implement a mechanism to stimulate transport companies that use such vehicles and sources of fuel and energy resources; - To strengthen the control of a technical condition of vehicles in use on environmental indicators, emissions and waste transport enterprises; - The use of technical means for collecting, processing and comprehensive utilization of various types of waste resulting from the operation or entering the aquatic environment as a result of accidents of water transport facilities.
