2 Terms 2.0.1 Wiring system One cable (wire), several cables (wires) or generatrix, and accessories used for fixing them. If required, the wiring system shall also include accessories for enclosing cable (wire) or generatrix. 2.0.2 Electrical equipment Any item relating to power generation, transfom1ation, transmission, distribution or current using, such as electric motor, transformer, electric appliance, measurement instrument, protective device, wiring system equipment, and electric tools. 2.0.3 Current-using equipment Equipment that can transform electric energy into energy of other forms (such as light energy, thermal energy, mechanical energy). 2.0.4 Electrical installation Combination of electrical equipments, which are compatible in performance for realizing one or more specific purposes. 2.0.5 Electrical installation in building Combination of electric device, wiring system and the electrical part of current-using equipment, which are compatible in performance for realizing one or more specific purposes. Such combination can satisfy the expected function and the safety requirement of the building, and also safety of people where are using the building. 2.0.6 Conduit A part of the circular or non-circular wiring system that is used to protect the wire or cable in electrical installation. The conduit has sufficient tightness that the wire or cable can only be led in longitudinally but not transversely. 2.0.7 Metal conduit Conduit made of metal material. 2.0.8 Insulating conduit Conduit that is made of insulating material, without any current-carrying part (interior metal casing, exterior metal net or metal coating). 2.0.9 Protective conductor (PE) A kind of conduct that is connected with the following parts in order to prevent shock hazard: -Bare current-carrying part; -Exterior current-carrying part; -Main grounding terminal; -Grounding rod (grounding device); -Grounding point of power source, or manual neutral grounding point. 2.0.10 PEN conductor A kind of grounding conductor that has the function of both neutral conductor and protection conductor. 2.0.11 Accessible (used in wiring mode) the part that can be moved out or exposed without damaging the bt1ilding structure or decoration, or is not permanently enclosed in the building structure or 2

3 Basic Specifications 3.1 General 3.1.l Besides complying with the Clauses of the current national standard "Uniform Standard for Acceptance of Construction Quality of Building Project" GB 50300-2001(3.0.1), the quality control on the jobsite of electrical installation in building shall comply with the following specifications: 1 The installation electrician, welder, crane operator and electrical adjustment personnel shall be qualified with required certificates. 2 Various measuring instruments used in installation and debugging shall be checked to be qualified and within the validity. 3.1.2 Unless required by the design, fuse welding shall not be used for fixing the bracket or bolt of electric wire, equipment or instrument on bearing steel structure of the building. Making holes by heating is forbidden. 3.1.3 The electric equipment, instrument and material with nominal voltage at AC lkv and below, or DC I.5kV and below shall be of low voltage ones, and electric equipment, instrument and material with nominal voltage over AC lkv, or DC 1.5kV shall be of high voltage ones. 3.1.4 The measuring instrument on electric equipment and instrument relating to electric protection shall be shall be checked to be qualified and within the validity. 3.1.5 The load-free test run of electrical power system in building and the loaded test run of electrical lighting system in building shall comply with this Code. The loaded test run of electrical power system in building can only be carried out after test run scheme or operation instruction manual shall be prepared based on the type, characteristics of electrical equipment and relevant building equipment, and then reviewed and approved by the contractor, and confirmed by the supervising unit. 3.1.6 The electric leakage protection device of electrical power and lighting works shall be subject to simulation actuation test. 3.1.7 Grounding (PE) or zero-connecting (PEN) branch line must be connected with grounding (PE) or zero-connecting (PEN) main line separately, but not serial connected. 3.1.8 The takeover test of HV electric equipment, wiring system and relay protective system must comply with current national standard "Standard for takeover test ot" electric equipment in electric device installation works" GB 50150. 3.1.9 The takeover test oflv electric equipment and wiring system shall comply with this Code. 3.1.10 The accuracy grade of electrical quantity signal sent to the transducer of the building intellectualization shall comply with design requirement, and status signal shall be correct. The reception of instruction of the building intellectualization shall make the action of automatic switch of electrical installation in building comply with instruction requirement, and the fu nction of switching between manual mode and automatic mode is normal. 4

3.2 Acceptance of main equipment, material, finished product and semi-finished product entering jobsite 3.2.1 The inspection result of main equipment, material, finished product and semi-finished product entering jobsite shall be recorded. Only those conforming to this Code can be used in construction. 3.2.2 Any doubted item shall be sampled in the lab of certain qualification. The lab shall provide test report showing that it conforms to this Code and relevant technical standard before it is used in construction. 3.2.3 For acceptance of the new electrical equipment, instrument and material being approved to enter market according to legal procedure, besides complying with this Code, the technical documents about requirements on installation, operation, maintenance and test shall also be provided. 3.2.4 For acceptance of the imported electrical equipment, instrument and material, besides complying with this Code, the documents as commodity inspection certificate, quality certificate in Chinese, model, specification, perfonnance test report, and requirement on installation, operation, maintenance and test in Chinese shall be provided. 3.2.5 For the approved exemption product or famous brand product, sampling inspection may not be carried out in acceptance upon entering the jobsite. 3.2.6 Transformer, box-type substation, HV electric appliance and electrotechnical porcelain ware shall comply with the following requirements: 1 Quality certificate and accompanying technical documents shall be checked. The transformer shall have ex-work test record. 2 Visual examination: name plate, complete accessories, no damage or crack with insulating part, no leakage in oil-filled part, nonnal air pressure in the air-filled HY equipment, perfect coating. 3.2.7 HV or LV distribution cabinet, accumulator cabinet, UPS cabinet, control panel (screen), power and lighting distribution box (panel) shall comply with the following requirements: 1 Quality certificate and accompanying technical documents shall be checked. For the product subject to production permit and safety certification system, it shall have the serial no. of permit and safety certification sign. The UPS cabinet shall have ex-work test record. 2 Visual examination: name plate, no damage or missing of the elements inside cabinet, no disconnection of wiring, no crncking or leakage on the battery shell inside accumulator cabinet, no leakage on oil-filled or air-filled equipment, perfect coating without obvious collision recession. 3.2.8 Diesel generator set shall comply with the following requirements: 1 The main machine, accessories, special tools, spare parts and accompanying technical documents shall be checked to the packing list. The quality certificate and record of ex-work test run shall be checked. The generator and its control panel shall have ex-work test record. 2 Visual examination: name plate, without defect on machine body, with perfect coating. 3.2.9 Electric motor, electric heater, electric operator and LY switching equipment shall comply with the following requirements: 1 The quality certificate and accompanying technical documents shall be checked. For the product subject to production permit and safety ce11ification system, it shall have the serial no. of 5

pennit and safety certification sign. 2 Visual examination: name plate, complete accessories, no defect on electric wiring terminal or equipment element, with perfect coating. 3.2.10 Lighting fixture and its accessories shall comply with the following requirements: 1 The quality certificate shall be checked. The new-type gas discharge lamp shall have accompanying technical document; 2 Visual examination: perfect coating on lamp without defect, with complete accessories. The name plate of anti-explosion lamp shall have anti-explosion sign and anti-explosion certificate No., Normal lamp shall have safety certification sign. 3 The performance of insulating resistor and internal wiring of integrated lamp shall be sampled on site. The insulation resistance value of lamp shall not be less than 2MQ. The internal wiring shall be of copper-cored insulation wire with core cross section area being no less than 0.5mm 2, and the thickness of rubber or PVC insulation wall being no less than 0.6mm. In case of any doubt about the tightness or insulation of the lamp (underwater lamp and water proof lamp) in swimming pool or similar place, the lamp shall be sampled and sent in batches to the lab of certain qualification for test. 3.2.11 Switch, socket, terminal box, fan and its accessories shall comply with the following requirements: 1 The quality certificate shall be checked. The anti-explosion product shall have anti-explosion sign and anti-explosion certificate No.. The product subject to safety certification system shall have safety certification sign. 2 Visual examination: The switch, face plate of socket and the tenninal box body shall be complete without cracking. With complete accessories. The fan shall have no damage, with perfect coating and adaptable speed governor. 3 The electtical and mechanical performance of switch and socket shall be sampled and tested on site as follows: I) Electric clearance and creepage distance between the active parts of opposed polarity shall not be less than 3mm. 2) The insulation resistance value shall not be less than SM.Q. 3) When it is installed with self-threading locking crew or autotomy screw, the screwed length between the screw and the soft plastic fixing part shall not be less than 8mm. After the soft plastic fixing part is subject to 10 times of tightening and loosing test, it shall not be loose or have flaking, and the screw and thread shall have no damage. 4) The screw and nut shall function nonnally after being subject to 5 times of complete tightening and loosing. 4 In case of any doubt about the flame retardant perfonnance of the plastic insulating material of the switch, terminal box and its face plate, they shall be sampled and sent in batches to the lab of certain qualification for test. 3.2.12 The wire and cable shall comply with the following requirements: 1 The quality certificate shall be checked in batches, and the quality ce11ificate shall have the No. of production permit. The product produced according to the standard of ''PVC insulation cable with the nominal electric voltage being 450/750V and below" GB 5023.1~5023.7 shall have safety certification sign. 2 Visual examination: The package shall be intact.
