4 More than 500 years of experience in steel In 1466, BGH (Boschgotthardshütte) is first mentioned as Hammer an der Ferndorf (location just outside the city of Siegen, Germany). For hundreds of years, forging was the main task of the company. Forge driven by hydropower By combining several steel producing and steel processing companies the current BGH was created.
