CP 7172/ WO 237510 Sewer Main Relocation in Baseline Road and East Avenue The State of California, in conjunction with the City of Rancho Cucamonga, is performing a new interchange configuration at the I-15 Freeway and Baseline Road. The work includes building new on and off ramps over Baseline Road and East Avenue. The existing sewer main located within these streets are required to be relocated to make room for bridge footings for the new ramps. The City is also constructing a new storm drain facility in East Avenue from Foothill Boulevard to the storm drain basin just north or Baseline Road. This project will relocate approximately 133 lineal feet of 8-inch vitrified clay pipe (VCP) and approximately 216 lineal feet of 15-inch VCP sewer mains in Baseline Road and East Avenue, respectively. The District is partnering with the City for the relocations of the sewer mains to be completed in conjunction with the new storm drain facilities. CP 7134/ WF220981 Relocate Waterline in Wilson Ave from East Ave to Wardman Bullock Rd. The City of Rancho Cucamonga plans to construct a new segment Wilson Avenue from Etiwanda Avenue to Wardman Bullock Road. This improvement will lower the existing finished surface by as much as 17-ft at various locations. The District has as existing 12-in waterline within the proposed road alignment that will be required to be lowered. Staff has analyzed this pipeline and plan to upsize the 12-in line to 24-in order to meet future demands and built transmission flexibility. This project will construct approximately 4,600 linear feet of new waterline and abandon in place the existing waterline in Wilson Avenue from East Avenue to Wardman Bullock Road. This project must be constructed in conjunction with the City road work. CP 7095 / WF220941 LMTP The purpose of this project is to upgrade and improve the treatment process at the LMWTP to ensure compliance with the USEPA Stage 2 Disinfectants / Disinfection Byproduct Rule. The Surface Water Treatment Master Plan (October 2010) recommends several improvements. The contract for engineering design services for this project was awarded in March 2011. The project will be completed over a three year period. Design work is scheduled to be completed by July 2012 and construction to be completed by March 2014. The budget includes design, construction, construction management, materials testing, and specialty deputy inspections for the successful completion of the project.
