PRINCIPLE OF NON-INVASIVE CO 2 MEASUREMENT CO 2 MEASURING PRINCIPLE based on laser technology The CO 2 Selector is using a laser that beams trough the headspace of a bottle. CO 2 Product The CO 2 molecules in the headspace absorb the infrared light send through the bottle. The result of the measurement is based on the width of the absorption lines (related to the total pressure) and its intensity (related to the concentration of the CO 2 ). CO 2 MEASUREMENT SELECTIVE INVASIVE, IR-Method Head space gas analysis The gas flows through a small chamber with an IR LED, IR Optical Band Filters and IR Receiver One filter for IR light that will be absorbed by CO 2 Molecules One filter for IR light that will not be absorbed by CO 2 Molecules, reference filter Measuring the CO 2 fraction of the head space gas in % from 0 to 100% CO 2 fraction is needed to calculate correct CO 2 values, when using other (foreign) gasses then CO 2 in the process.
