milglide Advanced Medical Lubricants Introduction MilGlide is a family of multifunctional perfluoropolyether polymer additives based on fluorinated synthetic oil. They have excellent color, UV, and thermal stability. They internally lubricate to improve flow properties, processibility, throughput, uniform mixing/dispersion of ingredients, and offer many advantages over competitive process aids. MilGlide can be used in a variety of thermoplastic and thermosetting polymers at typically less than 1% by weight. Improves mechanical performance and longevity of processing characteristics such as wear and flex fatigue. USP Class VI Reduces Coefficient of Friction Non-Silicone Reduces Wear and Abrasion Eliminates Marring and Scratching Inert to Polymers and Other Chemicals Improves Melt Flow and Mold Release Eliminates Squeak/Sticking Eliminates Plate Out and Die Buildup Improves Extrusion Rate Urinary Catheters Cardiovascular Catheters Medical Devices Polymer Gear/Bushings O-rings/Seals Polymer Films Processing Aids Compounding MilGlide can be incorporated into the polymer matrix by using conventional melt compounding equipment. Some grades can be processed at temperatures as high as 680 F (360 C) due to its excellent thermal stability and low volatility. The recommended loading of MilGlide is 0.25-1.0%, depending on the base polymer matrix and final performance desired Availability: Low Viscosity: MS-1100MD Med. milglide Masterbatch Concentrate Introduction Miller-Stephenson s Masterbatch Concentrate presents the best option to produce a MilGlide compound that can be introduced into different injected molded and extruded applications. It is used where improved coefficient of friction is required and non-liquid filling compounding capabilities exist. Our carrier is a 12% MilGlide oil and Ester-Olefin based material. It is compatible with a wide range of medical grade resin families such as: TPU Pebax EVA PA11 HDPE PP PC PMMA Polyester PVC PVDF ABS USP Class VI Reduces Coefficient of Friction Blooms Toward Surface Ready for Dry Blending Acts Like a Mold Release Reduces Wear and Abrasion Eliminates Marring and Scratching Inert to Polymers Non-Silicone / Non-PVP Injection Molded Parts Medical Packaging Tacky Surfaces Large Run ½ to ¾ Tubing Multi-Layer Packaging Access Sheaths Ideal for Pre-Compounded Materials Operating Information: The Ester-Olefin pellets are a 12% concentrate to be let down at 2.1% to 8.3% to achieve a MilGlide content of 0.25-1% (by weight) in the final part. Adds value and is beneficial for process extruders with non-mixing capabilities. 1587-6K

TM Engineered for todays technologies FluoroExtreme MS-4130DA; MS-4010DA FluoroExtreme are fluorinated synthetic lubricants specially formulated for dental handpieces. These lubricants offer superior protection, lubricity, and chemical stability versus hydrocarbon-based alternatives. Minimizes mechanical wear in all low and high speed handpieces, allowing devices to run longer and efficiently without costly repairs. The aerosol packaging contains low surface tension solvents to carry our lubricant into the tight crevices of dental handpieces, getting critical lubrication to areas which require it. FluoroExtreme is 100% biocompatible (ISO 10993) and Nonflammable. Miller-Stephenson strongly recommends the use of MS-255DA, our surface PrepClean to remove all previous lubrication and debris prior to first application. Advantages: Minimizes mechanical wear and friction Extends service life of dental devices Chemical and thermal stability Oxygen compatible Contains no hydrocarbon oils or propellants Wide temperature range (-94ºF to 550ºF) Additional lubricants are available through Miller-Stephenson to meet a wide range of application requirements. miller-stephenson.com Technical Support 800-992-2424 USA/800-323-4621 Canada support@mschem.com CONNECTICUT 55 Backus Avenue Danbury, Connecticut 06810 USA 800.442.3424 / 203.743.4447 ILLINOIS 6348 Oakton Street Morton Grove, Illinois 60053 USA 800.447.4866 / 847.966.2022 CALIFORNIA 12261 Foothill Boulevard Sylmar, California 91342 USA 800.771.8161 / 818.896.4714 CANADA 280 Belfield Road Toronto, Ontario M9W 1H6 Canada 800.307.2199 / 416.675.3204 FluoroExtreme, PrepClean, and miller-stephenson logo are trademarks of miller-stephenson chemical company inc 1574-5K
