Air source heat pumps could they work for me? How they work, the benefits and examples David Thomas Business development Manager Global Energy Systems Stand 44

For Global Energy Systems the last 14 years have been dedicated to the development of renewable energy technology through high performance, air source heat pumps. Based in Lytham, Lancashire. Global Energy are the renewable division of Helical Technology, an engineering and auto parts company with a turnover in excess of 40m Designed and built to work specifically with the UK climate and to outperform gas, oil and electric systems for the duration of their 20 year life.

What is an Air Source Heat Pump? ASHPs are fridges in reverse, re-engineered for heating They transfer energy from the air outside a building to the inside Using a refrigerant that boils at -38 C they can work at -20 C Electricity is used to drive the heat pump Heat pumps can generate 3-4kW of heat from 1kW of electric This heat can be used for anything from DHW to UFH - rads to pools, fan blowers to radiant panel heaters

How it Works returns to a liquid state in the expansion vessel where it
