(Deputy Chief Counsel) $12,137.00 - $15,129.00 Final Filing Date: 2/21/2018 Job Description and Duties The Deputy Chief Counsel (DCC) plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and reviews the work of a major legal section of the State Compensation Insurance Fund; acts as legal advisor to top management; sets legal policy; and participates as a member of top management in setting the Legal Department's goals, policies and guidelines and in preparing the Legal Department Program Plan and Budget. The DCC s responsibilities include management of a Legal Hub for workers' compensation defense. The DCC also chairs legal projects and participates in hiring and developing staff. The DCC operates under the general direction of the Chief Counsel. Salary: Commensurate with experience.
