Foreword This manual contains the standard engineering drawings that are used in road and bridge construction in Pierce County. These drawings have been prepared under the direct supervision of the County Engineer. This manual standardizes construction methods for specific items of work and complements the Manual on Design Guidelines and Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction in Pierce County. Pierce County shall be used whenever possible. A copy of the appropriate standard drawing(s) shall be attached to, and referenced on, road construction plans submitted to the County for approval. Revisions to a Standard Drawing must have the approval of the County Engineer and be incorporated into the road construction plans. Updating the manual is a continuing process and revisions are issued periodically. The most current drawings can be found at www.piercecountywa.org/roadstandards.
