T I M B E R J A C K H A R V E S T E R 770D 1070D Small means more... The 1070D and 770D harvesters are designed to improve the productivity of your harvesting operations in a wide variety of applications. Equipped with the new powerful John Deere engine and other technology advancements, the smallest members of the Timberjack harvester family are now ready to provide your logging applications with more performance power than ever. Though small in size, these machines have a lot in common with their big brothers the 1270D and 1470D: they are built from the ground up to be reliable forest machines. 1070D - your flexible all-around machine See a tree from the forest The 1070D is designed for a wide selection of harvesting applications, from the second to the final thinning and regeneration harvesting of all but the largest trees. With a wide range of robust heads, a boom reach of up to 11.3 meters and more engine power, the 1070D is the versatile choice for improving harvesting productivity even in the most demanding conditions.
770D - take the lifecycle approach Environmentally sound next to horse Thinning is essential in many forested areas for long-term productivity and healthy growth of your forest. At the same time, thinning is the most demanding work among all harvesting operations. Timberjack 770D is your smallest choice for professional harvesting. Its layout, cabin and technology features are specifically designed for working in early thinnings. Agile with 4 wheels and compact in size, the 770D moves easily through dense areas without damaging the young trees. At the same time, it has a robust construction and well-distributed machine weight, which ensures high stability. The 1070D and the 770D series harvesters combine productivity and environmentally sound operations. The unique balanced bogie in the 1070D machine combined with a low center of gravity, advanced control system and optimum tire size provides both consistent soft tractive force and reduced ground impact. The low-emission Deere engine conforms to the latest emission regulations, both in Europe and North America. We dare say, you could hardly get a lighter touch to the environment from a horse. 2/3
T I M B E R J A C K H A R V E S T E R 770D 1070D More for the operator environment Leveling comfort Your most precious production resource - your operators - need the best possible work environment to be able to exceed expectations year after year. Thanks to our long experience in providing machines for professional logging, we understand the special requirements of this working environment. A sideways leveling cabin is an optional extra, which minimizes damage to growing trees and improves both operator comfort and ergonomic design. The leveling function can be controlled either automatically or manually. Automatic boom pillar leveling is especially useful when working in demanding conditions, such as on slopes or hilly terrain. Integrated with the Timbermatic 300, this option is available for both the 1070D and 770D series machines. In addition to these technology advancements, the 1070D and 770D cabins have all the ergonomic innovations you have come to expect from the larger Timberjack harvesters.
Enjoy the view - day and night Timberjack offers a new concept for harvester visibility throughout the day. Based on its innovative frame design and narrow rear end, the 1070D and 770D machines ensure extended visibility in all directions - including backwards. The new optional Xenon lights produce the same amount of light as conventional light bulbs, but last five times longer and consume only a third of the energy. The enhanced illumination is comparable to natural light, making it particularly gentle to the human eye. Timberjack also sharpens your view with enhanced on-site illumination. T I M B E R J A C K H A R V E S T E R 770D 1070D More productivity at your fingertips A new standard Accuracy, speed and productivity are essential competitive factors in today s logging business. The proven and easy-touse Timbermatic 300 control and measuring system gives you the tools to achieve your productivity goals, and much more... The Timbermatic 300 measuring, control and communicating system integrated with the new generation TMC modules comes as a standard feature for the 1070D and 770D series harvesters in all market areas. This PC/Windows based system effectively integrates harvester-head measuring and controls with the TMC based machine functions. The highly automated harvester head control software includes, for instance, automatic sawing controls, harvester head tilt-up, stem feed, color marking, stump treatment and pressure adjustments of the delimbing knives and feed rollers.
The TimberOffice software package maximizes the utilization of the Timbermatic 300 information and enables you to manage your business at home. Your decisionmaking tool A friendly PC world An information solution for the future The automatic measuring system expertly selects the optimum sawing length. This means operators do not have to waste valuable time deciding where to cut the trunk and they can concentrate on monitoring the timber quality instead. The new feed control also optimizes the feeding power and ensures precise cutting, which improves both length and diameter accuracy. Timbermatic 300 presents the entire measuring system on one user-friendly color screen. The graphical interface, with a two-level menu system, is both logical and quick and easy to use. As a PC-based system, the Timbermatic 300 allows users to work in a familiar Windows environment with software tools, e-mail, maps and GPS programs. The display is user configurable - you select only the parameters and programs you need. With wireless data transfer via the Internet or other modern modes of communication, your Timbermatic 300 forms a ready-made platform on which to develop an extensive information system for your machinery. In addition, it converts your forest environment into a fully equipped office, complete with a CD-ROM drive, printer and more. Timbermatic 300 is available in 12 language versions. 6/7
T I M B E R J A C K H A R V E S T E R 770D 1070D More performance The 1070D and 770D series harvesters will exceed all the standards for small forest machines with their big performance power. The new, innovative Timberjack harvester technology features will raise your production figures to new heights - and give you more value-adding benefits than any other harvester in this size class. High-torque engine A new electrically-controlled, turbocharged and intercooled John Deere diesel engine supplies the 1070D and 770D series machines with superior power output and a clear torque increase compared to previous models. The high torque also allows the harvester to operate at lower working rpm, which translates into excellent fuel economy, increased component life and reduced noise levels. The high torque output also enables simultaneous use of the harvester head, the boom and transmission, maximizing your harvesting efficiency. Last but not least, service intervals for essentials like engine oil and filter changes have been extended from 250 hours to 500 hours, which lowers maintenance costs. In addition, the 1070D also offers a new, bigger 145 cm 3 working pump, which provides efficient hydraulic flow at lower engine rpm. This too, results in better fuel economy and increased component life.
11.3 meter reach with parallel boom Effective dual-working pressure system The 1070D s hydraulic system with its unique 24/28 MP dual working pressure system provides higher hydraulic oil pressure enabling specific functions for improved performance. This secures peak performance for brief intervals in situations where greater power is More quality required, such as sawing or at the start of feeding. The higher pressure delivers more power to the feeding process during start up to avoid slipping and in bucking to eliminate cutting cracks. This is an advantage that has a direct impact on production quality. The Timberjack 1070D facilitates an 11.3 meter-reach, double-extension boom specially designed for thinning tasks. The longer boom reach enables longer strip road distances and speeds up the harvesting process. This improves the work efficiency of your entire production chain. The 11.3 boom is available with the H732 harvester head. In addition to the extended reach, the parallel acting boom system ensures easy and fast boom operations and thus contributes to better productivity. 8/9
