RETAIL COMPLIANCE PROGRAM 2016 To get started now, visit www.globalrsinc.com/hallmark Global Registration Services, Inc. 1674 S. Research Loop, Suite 436 www.globalrsinc.com Tucson, AZ 85710 (00-1) 312-405-9467

Welcome We know you re here because you re required to participate due to a partnership between GRS and your retail customer, however we are thankful for the opportunity to earn your trust and believe we can be your valued partner and advisor for your compliance and labeling. The Retail Compliance Program started as just an idea in 2006 when a major retailer came to GRS looking for a solution to reduce violations in their stores for stuffed bedding & furniture articles. After several years of collaboration and technology integration, the first of its kind program called, Vendor Certification was successfully launched. Today, that program has evolved in to Retail Compliance a more powerful and complete system for retailers and their valued suppliers to get and stay compliant. With the hundreds of companies GRS works with we ve seen different types of scenarios when it comes to the question of whether they are fully compliant with licensing: There are companies that don t use a third party to verify their licenses, which in some cases they ve had, and have been maintaining, for years. But now have GRS a backup in case something changes in your organization or some mistake/oversight happens. There are companies which believe they are in full compliance but somehow discover at some point they aren t; for example, when they receive a violation in a particular state for a particular product. Also, some of the companies found benefits in other GRS services outside of the required retailer program and were glad to have discovered us for the long run. We ve performed new registration for them, obtained licenses they didn t know they needed to meet Certification, or have taken over the yearly management of their licenses.

Overview Global Registration Services, Inc. provides registration assistance to manufacturers around the world of bedding & furniture products with a hidden filling material that are required to have the Under Penalty of Law Do Not Remove labels. We also work with importers and distributors that perform the registration for the factory or factories they work with. Global Registration Services, Inc. also has a host of post registration services collectively known as Monitored Services offered to companies who would like ongoing support with the management of their registration licenses. You can read more about these services, their variances and benefits on our website. MONITORED SERVICES GlobalTrak - $197.00/year. Efficiently store and manage your URN license data on our website. License Management - $797.00/year. GRS is your agent to manage your yearly license renewals. Guaranteed Compliance - $747.00/year. License Management with 1 yearly payment for license renewals plus added guarantees. We provide our Monitored Services to more than 750 companies around the world who trust our experience and expertise and find the convenience of the program - and the savings in time and money on their end - well worth the cost. RETAILER COMPLIANCE - $315.00/retailer When a retailer partners with GRS, they require their suppliers to subscribe to their database on the GRS website. This is done by selecting the store from the list of participating retailers listed under Retail Compliance, providing your Vendor ID and paying the yearly subscription fee. Any and all URNs of factories with products that are sold to that retailer must be subscribed to a Monitored Service and then linked to that retailer. The yearly fee applies to each participating retailer you sell to. Note: not all clients and URNs in GRS Monitored Services are under Retail Compliance. However, all clients and URNs that must link to a retailer must be subscribed to a Monitored Service. Some retailers choose to allow their testing labs access to our database in which case verifying the URN status will become part of the testing protocol. If the URN is not Certified, testing fails.

What is required of your company 1. Create a logon on the GRS website. 2. Subscribe to Retail Compliance. Select the retailer, enter your Vendor ID and make your payment. 3. Subscribe to Monitored Services for any pertinent, or all, URNs you re currently managing. 4. Link the Retailer to the associated URNs in Monitored Services. Simply turn on the retailer under each URN. 5. Upload necessary license copies for each URN for Certification. We hope that sounds simple, because it really is! Step by step instructions are inlcuded here. If at any time you run into trouble or have questions -- don t fret! Contact a GRS Compliance Agent and we can help. Our contact info can be found at the end of this document. We ll go through the above steps in more detail on the coming pages, complete with screenshots so you can be familiar with the process before you get started, or use them as a guide to follow along with as you go through the site. What you should know and have before you get started Your logon and account When you create a logon you are only required to provide minimum information. The first time you pay for any GRS service, you will be required to complete your profile before selecting your payment method. The information we ask for to complete your account at that time is fairly detailed, such as: owner s name, title and address, company legal status, incorporation date and FEIN. The information we ask for is needed for state applications and some state renewals, however we don t ask for more than we need. State license copies The final part of subscribing to a Monitored Service is to upload your license files into the system. Acceptable file formats are.pdf,.jpg,.gif &.png. For your reference you can view state license samples at the end of this document on page 14.

Upgrading a Monitored Service Our entry level Monitored Service is GlobalTrak that allows you to store and manage your licenses using our proprietary system but still leaves you with the responsibility to handle license renewals, registration and compliance. However, if you want peace of mind about your compliance needs and would like GRS to handle them you can always upgrade to License Management or Guaranteed Compliance at any time. The unused portion of your existing enrollment cost will be prorated and applied to your upgraded subscription. Paying by check If you choose to pay for any GRS services by check, you will be required to provide a check number after making your payment selection. You may wish to have your check number on hand. If you are a Walmart vendor currently listed in Vendor Certification Please call our office for assistance with subscribing any currently enrolled URNs & license data to a Monitored Service. This must be done by a GRS Agent.

Quick Step-By-Step Instructions (detailed instructions with screen shots begin on the next page). 1. Create a logon on the GRS website if you do not have one yet. www.globalrsinc.com > Sign Up Free. Provide company name, email for logon and password. 2. Select the retailer you need to enroll for and enter your Vendor ID for that retailer Go to: Retailer Compliance menu > Retailer Vendor IDs. Select the retailer, enter your Vendor ID and click Update. Your invoice will be presented. Complete company profile or verify company data. Make payment selection and process. 3. Enroll all pertinent URNs in one or more of the GRS Monitored Services Go to: Monitored Service menu: choose your service Complete all tabs: License / Product / Factory (when applicable)/ Legal / Owner / Terms of Service. Make your invoice payment 4. Link the Retailer to the pertinent URNs Option 1, select single URN: Go to: Account Center or My Account Menu > My URN Table: select a URN Choose the retailer by clicking the radio button Option 2, select multiple URNs: Go to: Retailer Compliance menu > URN/Retailer Assignment Click the radio button for one or more URNs listed on the table. 5. Upload all associated license copies for each URN for Certification Go to: Account Center or My Account Menu > My URN Table: select a URN Use the Edit License link for each license on the detail table to open a new window where you can provide the license details and upload the file. Click Save to submit to GRS for review.

Create a free account to become a GRS client To enroll for a retailer in Retailer Compliance, select the retailer and add your Vendor ID. We ll capture the rest of your company details when you select an invoice for payment. Only retailers that are partnered with GRS will be listed. Select the store and enter your Vendor ID. Clicking Update will generate an invoice for this yearly enrollment.

Upon clicking Update you will be presented with your invoice. Before you can make your payment selection you ll need to complete your profile by selecting the Account Verification button. Make your payment selection 315.00 You should know: Complete your company info behind all the tabs and click Select Payment Type to make your payment. Credit Card - you will be prompted for your credit card details on the next screen. Your payment will be processed and received by GRS immediately and your subscription will be active without delay. Wire Transfer - Our bank details will be automatically emailed to you. If you do not receive our email, please contact us. Your account will be accessible and available to upload files, but the subscription will be pending until we receive verification from our bank that payment has been received. US Check - the next page will provide our mailing address to send your check and also require you to provide your check number. Your account will be accessible and available to upload files, but the subscription will be pending until we receive your payment.

At this point you have created an account and enrolled in Retailer Compliance under a specific Retailer with your Vendor ID. Now let s enroll a URN into a GRS Monitored Service Clicking Next takes you to the next tab at the top. You can jump from tab to tab if you wish by clicking the desired tab.

Congratulations! Here s what we ve done so far since signing up 1) Identified your company as a retail supplier by providing your Vendor ID. 2) Enrolled one or more URNs in the GRS system for a Monitored Service. Below is a sample My URN Table showing 3 URNs in Monitored Services. Here we select a URN to see its details. Let s select PA9701IT Next, you must show which URNs should be linked to the Retailer. Note: This is a critical step because not all clients URNs in Monitored Services are subject to Retailer Compliance. Only those URNs pertinent to a Retailer that GRS has partnered with. There are 2 simple ways to do this: 1) URN Detail Table First lets go to the URN Table to select a URN The Retail Compliance column will show a checkmark for URNs assigned to a Retailer. This is what we ll accomplish next. The URN Status column will show Certified, Non-Compliant or Unknown once the first license is uploaded into the table. We ll get to that next. The URN Detail displays the Factory name, products, the Monitored Service with expiration date and the name of the Retailer you enrolled for. Selecting the button adds this URN to that store s Retailer Compliance program and database. The My URN Table takes you to the summary table of all the URNs you ve enrolled in Monitored Services. From that table you can select a URN to see it s Detail Table.

2) Retailer Compliance > Retailer/URN Assignment When you have multiple URNs enrolled in Monitored Services, in some cases it may be easier to assign or unassign retailers and URNs under a single view table Now that we ve assigned PA9701IT to the Retailer, it shows checked for Retailer Compliance on the general URN Table. Upload Licenses Now let s upload the licenses for PA9701IT so your URN can become Certified! You ll see that currently the table shows all licenses are pending upload because there s no files. We ll change that with the Edit License links for each state. As the list of GRS partnered Retailers grows, this table will be more convenient for managing URN relationships and reference.

Provide all the license details here including the license file. Click Browse to choose the your license file. Then click Upload to see the file before you Save. Otherwise, you can simply click Save to confirm and exit the screen without seeing the file first. Once Saved, the system sends notification to a GRS Compliance Agent for review. If all the data and file are accurate, the license will be Approved and the License Status on the detail table will show Active. Once all data has been received, reviewed and is accurate, the URN will be Certified! If a license file is rejected, the Compliance Agent will state the reason for rejection which will display on the license edit page. You will receive an auto-generated email of the rejection. You will be required to fix the problem and upload a new license if necessary for another review. Congratulations! You ve completed the necessary steps to show Compliancy for your retail customer. If you need assistance at ANY time please don t hesitate to call one of our Compliance Agents at (00 int l) 1-312-405-9467. We are here to help from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Mountain Standard Time. You can also email us at info@globalrsinc.com. Thank you!
