Fatal accidents per year What Problem Are We Solving? Air Traffic Control became a congressional mandate in 1993 after an accident in 1986 (7yr) 1993 Efficiency grows 302% between 1993~2011 Congress mandates Positive Train Control before 2015 after an accident in 2008 (7yr) LILEE Systems Provides products and solutions to enable railroads to meet the 2015 Mandate 9

What is PTC? (Positive Train Control) Problem : the collision of a Metrolink passenger train and a Union Pacific freight train in Los Angeles, California, resulted in the deaths of 25 and injuries to more than 135. Mandate : US signed the railway safety bill into law on October 16, 2008 mandating Positive Train Control (PTC). Deadline : The US Congress set a deadline of December 31, 2015 for the implementation of PTC technology. Market Sizing : Estimates PTC communication equipment volume will be in the order of 125K~337K units. Equipment : PTC involves three components 1. Equipment along the railroad track 2. Equipment on the locomotive 3. Equipment at the control center 4. Bi-directional communication links 3. 4. Communications Networks 1. Addressable market : $2B per annum There are 9 Class-I s, 97 transit authorities, 200 short lines, 650 freight carriers 2. 10
