There is no change involved in capacity, area or mining technology. New land use is created when opencast mining activities are carried out. The detailed change in land use is provided above in S. No. 1.1. The necessary exploratory boreholes had been drilled to assess the coal reserves in the block. Construction of Manager Office, ETP, Shed for vehicles, workshop and necessary infrastructure etc had already been constructed. Demolition of temporary construction. Demolition of infrastructure will be carried out at the time of Umrer OC 3

Embankment of 6 meter height and 30 m width has also been constructed along the Amb river. No further External Dumping will be carried out. Excavation by Opencast mining. The Overburden (OB) lying above the coal seam is being stacked at earmarked sites as external OB dump and also accommodated in the de-coaled void as internal dump. Coal is stored in the earmarked site in the Coal Stock Yard. The storage of goods and other material are made in Designated Store. Solid Waste Solid waste is mainly overburden generated from the excavation work. No external dumping will be carried out in future. Overburden generated during future mining activities will be accommodated in Internal dump of Umrer OC. Liquid Effluent 1. Mine Pumped Out Water Sedimentation tank of adequate capacity with dimensions 30.0 m x 8.0 m x 2.5 m have been constructed in such a way that the mine water loaded with suspended solids pass through it before being utilized for Umrer OC 5

Effluent treatment plant of 1.5 KLD capacity has been provided for treatment of liquid waste generated from workshop. 3. Domestic Water Treatment: The domestic waste disposal arrangement of 0.30 MLD capacity using Phytorid technology is provided in combined township of Umrer Area. The total manpower in the project is 1036 as on 31 st march, 2018. Total 1282 quarters have been provided for housing of manpower in Umrer township. The Umrer township also caters to the residential needs of all other mines under the administration of Umrer Area. Not Umrer OC is an existing opencast mine.
