Of late, there is a growing need for enhancing the learning experience with the advent of technology and its use in the classroom. Technology, of course, enhances every aspect of teaching, learning and grasping abilities of the students. It is a fact that science and technology have brought about a lot of changes in the way teaching and learning happen in the classroom. The traditional method of chalk & talk model is slowly getting phased out, today. It is of interest to note here that over 76% parents and students prefer access to curriculum materials and online text-books for use at home. It also helps in enhancing their learning experience using innovative learning methods such as flipped-learning. Also, it is quite interesting to note that a little over 77% of teachers use internet for instruction in the classroom. Adding to this is the phenomenon that 12% schools have lend laptops to their students. Often, we hear about tablets, smart-boards, ipads and smart phones have made an indelible impact on teaching and research. In addition, E-books, podcasts, wikis, blogs, twitter, video conferencing, E-portfolios and Learning Management System (LMS) have changed the entire landscape across universities, colleges and schools. One will be literally left behind if technology is not adopted in the classroom. Understanding the need and relevance of technology, educators, of late, have realized the growing influence of technology on the instructional methods and related aspects. An interesting outcome of technology-based teaching is that it makes learning a fun. Also, it prepares our students for the future. Undoubtedly, technology greatly helps in, as mentioned earlier, flip learning and students can learn the lessons at their own phase. On the same tone, it helps teachers to get an idea of individual s ability and modify the instructional strategy, accordingly.
Against this background, the upcoming conference on Education, Teaching and Learning in the beautiful city of Paris-France makes an attempt to achieve the following objectives: 1.
