How Our Data Collection Technology Works DATAMETREX s DataTap (DT) device is installed between the POS and receipt printer using serial port and USB port The DT captures all data sent from POS to Receipt Printer Captured data is then sent, via wifi to the cloud server It is then scrubbed and populated to vendor Dashboard Captured data can include: unit price, total price, description, quantity, weight, etc. Vendors Dashboards are accessible from; PC s, Laptops, Tablets and soon on their smartphones This allows vendors to monitor data remotely freeing up time to focus on business development 6

Product Pipeline USB DataTap Similar to serial type DataTap, but captures data from devices with a USB interface (e.g. printers, scanners, displays) to provide access to new markets Provide the ability to manage back office inventory management system using provided data DataTap with Hardwired Internet Interface Versions of the DataTap that have a hardwired connection (e.g. ethernet cable) to a local network instead of using a WiFi connection to support retailers that have internet access, but no WiFi network 9

Competitive Advantage DataTap The new source for retail data: The current method of data extraction is a time consuming and labour intensive process. Until the DataTap, only new cloud based POS systems could link POS terminals and aggregate information. Each different POS system has its own proprietary format and usually requires modifications to the POS system in order to access data via the cloud. DataTaps are inserted into a data flow between two components of a POS system. These taps do not require modification of the POS and are invisible to the operation of the POS system. DataTaps do not interrupt/interfere with data flow, they sit outside of the flow and tap the information as it passes Similar to the 407 ETR scanning license plates for information as cars drive rather than Toll Booths that interrupt the flow and potentially cause bottlenecks There is zero risk of downtime to a merchants POS terminal as a result of installing a DataTap 11
