The Small ruminant value chains for reducing poverty ad increasing food security in dryland areas in India and Mozambique (imgoats) is an IFAD-supported project for rural people especially those engaged in goat production. The imgoats focuses on the social mobilization and organization of rural people with interest on producing and raising goats to improve local income.

The intervention is now widely used in the area.
Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with the local goat raisers/farmers of Jhadol, Udaipur District. The activity was facilitated by the imgoat Project Team headed by Mr. Sharma and Dr. Deo. The farmers sharing their experiences in raising goats especially the technical services they receive from the imgoat technical staff who regularly visits the village and extend technical services and assistance.

The discussions highlighted the support extended by the MPOWER project to the rural people especially those engaged in goat production. These include animal health, nutrition and production support services.
