3. Additional services to and from Norway Kombiverkehr has again been providing services to and from Alnabru (Oslo) in Norway since 15 September 2013. The Trelleborg Alnabru route is run by our Swedish partner Green Cargo AB with a block train service with three departures per week in each direction. The address and contact details of the Alnabru terminal are as follows: Alfaset 3, Industriveien 27 0614 OSLO NORWAY Phone +47 / 99 29 39 42 Fax +47 / 23 15 12 09 Please book your shipments from Alnabru with our agency in Lübeck: Phone +49 4502/8 89 64-10, Fax +49 4502/8 89 64-22 or kvluebeck@intermodalservices.de We would also like to tell you about current customs clearance arrangements for consignments to and from Norway. South > North to Norway (EFTA) Please note that the consignment for export must already have an Export Accompanying Document (customs declaration) when it is dropped off at EU terminals and for subsequent transport by rail to Norway. Our partner Green Cargo in Sweden uses the Export Accompanying Document to issue a transit declaration for Community goods to be imported into Norway. If you have already drawn up a transit procedure for your consignment, then there will of course be no need for this to be done again in Sweden. If you would like Green Cargo to instigate the transit procedure, please send the Export Accompanying Document (EAD) with the valid MRN and the commercial invoice by email to Green Cargo (CS.utrikes@greencargo.com) and to our agency in Lübeck (kvluebeck@intermodalservices.de). The current transit procedure will be concluded by Green Cargo once the shipment has arrived in Norway. Should any irregularities arise during customs clearance, e.g. non-termination of the transit procedure, please notify us immediately so that we can resolve these difficulties through our partner Green Cargo. 4
North > South from Norway (EFTA) Your consignment must be registered for export with Norwegian customs before any goods can be exported from Norway. Please send a copy of the transit procedure you have opened, together with the valid MRN, by email to Green Cargo (CS.utrikes@greencargo.com) and to our agency in Lübeck (kvluebeck@intermodalservices.de). Green Cargo can handle the necessary export customs clearance for you if you do not have your own agent in Norway to prepare a customs declaration. Please contact our agency in Lübeck for this purpose: Kombiverkehr agency, Lübeck Phone +49 04502/8 89 64-0, Fax +49 04502/8 89 64-22 or kvluebeck@intermodalservices.de For enquiries relating to these products please contact: Kombiverkehr, Team Leader North European Transport & German Baltic Sea Ports, Christoph Schwarz Phone +49 69/7 95 05-2 41, Fax +49 69/7 95 05-2 89 or cschwarz@kombiverkehr.de For questions relating to customs clearance, please contact: Kombiverkehr, Advisor Shipping & Customs, Ulf Schroedter Phone +49 69/7 95 05-2 72, Fax +49 69/7 95 05-3 09 or uschroedter@kombiverkehr.de 4. New information on transport to and from Vienna As reported in edition 05/2013 of Kombi-Brief, our Neuss Wien v.v. block train and our block trains to and from Austria via Wels were connected to the Wien-Freudenau Hafen CCT terminal on 2 September 2013. Unfortunately, however, the switchover of all shipments from Wien-Northwest CCT to Wien-Freudenau Hafen CCT has shown that the scheduled pick-up times are no longer practical. For this reason, shipments handled at the Wien-Freudenau Hafen CCT and Wien-Northwest CCT terminals will be divided up as follows with immediate effect: Handling via Wien-Freudenau Hafen CCT: Consignments on the Neuss Wien block train Consignments on satellite services routed via the Neuss Wien block train 5
Handling via Wien-Northwest CCT: Consignments on the Duisburg Wels block train with onward transport to Vienna Consignments on satellite services (including Rotterdam and Antwerp) routed via the Duisburg Wels block train with onward transport to Vienna Consignments transported on the Ludwigshafen Wels block train with onward shipment to Vienna Consignments on satellite services routed via the Ludwigshafen Wels block train with onward transport to Vienna For enquiries relating to these products please contact: Kombiverkehr, Manager East and Southeast European Transport, Ulrich Bedacht Phone +49 69/7 95 05-2 44, Fax +49 69/7 95 05-2 89 or ubedacht@kombiverkehr.de FORMALITIES/LAW 5. Identification of containers In light of recent events, may we remind you that all containers with top corner fittings require a valid CSC plate (International Convention for Safe Containers, see adjacent); this must include the date of the next reinspection. Alternatively, the loading unit may also be fitted with proof of participation in ACEP (Approved Continuous Examination Programme). As a general rule, transport will be refused for containers without a valid CSC plate or an appropriate ACEP label. We would ask you to bear this in mind when scheduling your loading units. Delays in transport procedures and possible additional costs may otherwise arise. For enquiries relating to this subject please contact: Kombiverkehr, Operations, Terminals / Process Organisation & Projects, Kristian Kölsche Phone +49 69/7 95 05-3 31, Fax +49 69/7 95 05-3 09 or kkoelsche@kombiverkehr.de 6
6. SISTRI: Tracing of waste shipments to and from Italy SISTRI (ital.: sistema per il controllo della tracciabilità dei rifiuti) is a system designed to ensure that waste shipments can be traced. The legal basis for the system, which has been introduced in Italy, is a decree issued by the Environment Ministry on 17 December 2009. It changes the situation with regard to the handling of administrative duties in environmental matters (waste register, waste identification certificate, MUD) and allows the movement of waste to be monitored in real time by the following electronic means: USB key to transmit data on waste generated, transported and managed on industrial premises. The USB key also contains the electronic signature; Black boxes that have to be installed by authorised workshops in every vehicle designated for waste transport, so that the movements of the vehicle can be monitored; Devices installed at waste disposal sites to monitor incoming and outgoing vehicles. The bodies obliged to comply with SISTRI and the deadlines for its implementation were redefined in the decree dated 31 August 2013. In particular SISTRI is mandatory for: Original producers of hazardous waste Corporations and companies that collect, transport, treat, recycle, dispose of, deal in or convey hazardous waste in a professional capacity (new producers included). The due date for the launch of the SISTRI system is 1 October 2013 for corporations and companies that collect, transport, treat, recycle, dispose of, deal in or convey hazardous waste in a professional capacity (new producers included), and 3 March 2014 for original producers of hazardous waste. Producers and managers of non-hazardous waste may join the SISTRI scheme on a voluntary basis. The decree dated 20 March 2013 and published in Federal Law Gazette no. 92 dated 19 April 2013 has stipulated that the annual SISTRI contribution for 2013 is to be revoked for corporations and companies already registered by 30 April 2013. Further information on SISTRI, the legal texts on which it is based and the dates for registration in the system can be found on the website of Bozen Chamber of Commerce (http://www.handelskammer.bz.it/) and of the Environment Ministry (http://www.sistri.it/).
