Zytel HTN Your Bridge to Performance and Value B ridging the cost/performance gap between traditional engineering plastics and higher-priced specialty polymers, Zytel HTN high performance polyamide resins offer you rugged, economical alternatives to metal and thermosets in a wide range of applications. Zytel HTN is a family of resins based on partially aromatic polyamides, most of which also fall into the class of polymers known as PPAs (polyphthalamides). They combine outstanding productivity and flow during molding with excellent structural strength, toughness and dimensional stability, wet or dry, at typical ambient conditions and in harsh environments. Such environments can involve long- or short-term exposure to one or more of the following conditions: elevated temperature, heavy structural loads, high humidity, and aggressive chemicals, including motor fuel and other automotive fluids. The unique performance and processing capabilities of Zytel HTN open the way for the design of innovative, cost-effective molded components for automotive, electrical, electronics and other industrial fields. Engine cooling: thermostat housings, outlet valves, heater circuit valves, water pump impellers, electric water pumps, other parts to resist attack by aggressive longlife coolants.
