STRUCTURAL [ ] Sheet # Specify type of design and construction of all walls and partitions. Wood stud IRC Sections: walls shall comply with IRC Section R602, steel framing with IRC Section 603 R404, R602 masonry walls shall comply with IRC Section R606 R609, concrete walls with R603, R611 IRC Section 611 or shall be designed by a Missouri Design Professional. [ ] Sheet # Indicate all braced wall panel locations. Specify the method of bracing to be used. IRC Section: R602.10,R602.12 [ ] Sheet # Provide truss specifications sealed by a Registered Missouri Design Professional IRC Section: Raised heel trusses may be required to allow for R-38 insulation over the exterior R502.11 wall (R402.2.1) Specify lumber grade, species and size of members (R502.1 & R802.1) R802.10 [ ] Sheet # Provide complete floor (if applicable) and roof framing plans. R306.5 [ ] Sheet # Floor Drain. All basements shall have a floor drain within twenty (20) feet of the IRC Section: heating/cooling system(s) and water heaters. The floor drain shall comply with R306.6 Chapter 27 of the International Residential Code for One- and Two-Family Dwellings. [ ] Sheet # Each hose bibb shall have a backflow preventer installed. See IRC P2902.3 IRC Section: Water hammer arrestors are required at quick-closing valves. (dishwashers, P2903.5 clothes washers etc.). [ ] Sheet # Appliances located in a garage or carport shall be protected from impact by auto- IRC Section: mobiles by a curb 4 high and 3 deep, a minimum 3 steel pipe bollard installed M1307.3.1 a minimum of 18 below and a minimum of 44 above the finished floor in front of the equipment or a wall. MECHANICAL [ ] Sheet # Provide a complete mechanical plan showing the locations of all HVAC equipment IRC Section: Mechanical equipment and appliances must be sized per ACCA Manual S and or R106.1 Manual J. M1401.3 [ ] Sheet # Provide exhaust fans to the outside or to vented soffit or gable vent from bathrooms, IRC Section: water closet compartments, and similar rooms if not supplied with natural ventilation. M303.3, M1501.1 See also M1507.4. [ ] Sheet # Provide combustion air for all gas-fired appliances including size, type and location IRC Section: of openings. G2407 [ ] Sheet # Attics containing appliances shall be provided with an opening and passageway large IRC Section: enough to remove the largest appliance and not more than 20 in length. A level M1305.1.3 service space at least 30 deep and 30 wide shall be present along the access M1305.1.4.3 sides of the appliance. A luminaire controlled by a switch at the required opening and a receptacle outlet shall be installed at or near the appliance. [ ] Sheet # The clothes dryer exhaust duct shall be at least the diameter of the appliance out- IRC Section: let and shall terminate on the outside of the building. It shall not exceed 35 in length M1502 with reductions for bends. A label is required if the duct length is greater than 35. (M1502.4.6 & G2439.7.5)

[ ] Sheet # All materials used shall be installed in strict accordance with the standards under IRC Section: which the materials are accepted and approved. In the absence of such install- M1301.3 ation procedures, the manufacturer s instructions shall be followed. The minimum provisions shall be the code. ELECTRICAL [ ] Sheet # Provide a complete electric plan. Indicate the size (rating) and location of the electric IRC Section: panel, including any sub panels (s). Provide Electrical Load Calculations to R106.1 substantiate SES rating. (E3602.2) E3401 [ ] Sheet # Provide an approved grounding electrode system. Bond all interior water and IRC Section: gas piping. E3608, E3609 [ ] Sheet # All branch circuits that supply 120-volt, single-phase, 15- and 20-ampere outlets IRC Section: installed in sleeping areas and bedrooms shall be protected by an arc-fault circuit E3902.17 interrupter installed to provide protection of the entire branch circuit. In areas E4002.14 specified in section E3901.1, 125-volt, 15 and 20 ampere receptacles shall be listed tamper-resistant receptacles. [ ] Sheet # Receptacles shall be installed so that no point along the floor line in any wall space IRC Section: is more than 6 measured horizontally, from an outlet in that space, including any E3901.2.1 wall space 2 or more in width. 15- and 20-amper receptacles must be listed as E3901.2.4 tamper-resistant. (E4002.14). [ ] Sheet # In kitchen and dining rooms, at least one receptacle outlet shall be installed at IRC Section: each island or peninsular counter space with a long dimension of 24 or greater E3901.4.2 and a short dimension of 12. E3901.4.3 [ ] Sheet # Provide at least one receptacle outlet on the wall within 36 of the outside edge IRC Section: of each lavatory basin in bathrooms. All receptacles located in bathrooms and E3901.6 within 6 of bathtubs and showers shall be GFCI protected. Receptacles shall E3902.1 not be located in tub or shower space. [ ] Sheet # Provide at least one weatherproof receptacle outlet, not more than 6 6 above IRC Section: grade and GFCI protected, at the front and back of each dwelling. All 125-volt E3901.7 single-phase, 15- and 20-ampere receptacle outlets installed outdoor shall have E3902.3 GFCI protection for personnel. E3901.8 Commentary [ ] Sheet # Provide a receptacle outlet in hallways 10 or more in length. IRC Section: Provide convenience receptacle located in the laundry area, must be GFCI E3901.10,E3902.9 protected. [ ] Sheet # Provide a convenience receptacle outlet for the servicing of appliances (HVAC) IRC Section: within 25 of the appliance. E3901.12 [ ] Sheet # All 125-volt, single-phase, 15-and 20-ampere receptacles that serve countertop IRC Section: surfaces in kitchens or are located within 6 of the outside edge of a bar sink shall E3902.6 be GFCI protected.
