Need to have 50% competent and highly-skilled workers by 2020 to achieve high-income economy. 2. 3.3 million new job positions will be added into the workforce by year 2020. 3. Currently highly-skilled workers accounts for only 25.5% of 12.7 million workers in the country. 4. High demand for technical workers as 62% of local businesses require skilled workers.
