Fastest2.0 Cognizant s online portal Fastest has now transitioned to Fastest2.0, an enhanced on-demand testing ecosystem, with new offerings that include testing tools, environment and infrastructure. Fastest2.0 offer a holistic on-demand testing solution in an e-commerce-like experience. 1 What s new in fastest 2.0 Offering a holistic on-demand testing solution, fastest2.0 includes new elements in addition to pre-existing on-demand testing services. Test Infrastructure Fastest2.0 caters to testing infrastructure requirements through offering a suite of infrastructure elements like mobile devices, browsers and specially-configured VMs, that can be provisioned on an as-needed basis, all in real time. No need to buy expensive testing tools or configuring a testing environment each time it is commissioned. Test Tools/Products As an online marketplace, fastest2.0 hosts a wide range of industry-leading testing products and tools powered by vendors like HP, IBM and CA that can be commissioned upon request. With this paradigm, users need not purchase cost-intensive testing tools that are not always in use. Instead, users can optimize costs by paying only for the time they have actually used these tools. Test Environment With fastest2.0, a configured testing environment can be saved for a later use. This further eliminates holding costs as a saved configuration can be easily restored whenever the need arises, instead of reconfiguring the environment. Fastest2.0 Feature Guide 3
Test Automation Leveraging the power of cloud, fastest 2.0 enables users to scale-up automated execution across multiple devices and OS-browser combinations in parallel. 2 New Offerings Fastest2.0 offers a new suite of solutions that address the emerging QA needs of digital enterprises. Building on cloud-based infrastructure and on-demand access to leading Cognizant QA IPs, fastest 2.0 enables users to deliver superior quality for their business. The following offerings are in the beta mode: 1. E2E Cross Browser Testing on Cloud Infrastructure, tools & services Cross Browser Environment Functional testing Users can now test applications across 100+ browser/os combinations. The desired browser can be launched on just one click to quickly see how applications look and function. Users can capture screenshots with annotations to create defects, along with recording and replaying test flows. Cross Browser Environment Automation Users can speed-up test cycles by running selenium automation across hundreds of browsers and operating systems available in our cloud, by either uploading a selenium script or running it directly from a local machine. 2. NFR Testing on Cloud NFR on Cross-Browser Testing Users can gather performance metrics while cross-browser automation testing is underway, by including the configuration file as part of the automation script. Performance Testing environment on cloud (leveraging Neoload) Users can set-up a performance testing environment on-demand on a cloudbased Infrastructure. Further, they can generate load from the cloud leveraging load-generators from Neo-load, and pay for what they use. 3. Cognizant QA IP s on Cloud Get on-demand access to Cognizant s IP products such as ADPART ADPART (Test case Modelling) Smart-stub (Service Virtualization) Spritz (Script less Automation) And many more will be added shortly 1 3 New Features Apart from the above listed offerings, the following new features have also been launched as part of fastest2.0. 1. Appstore like user-experience In the pursuit of continuously improving the user experience, fastest2.0 comes with an intuitive and simplified App Store-like format. Service store To provision new offerings, Our Services section in the existing fastest menu will be renamed to Service Store. The new Service Store would display service offerings in the form of apps. For an easy service discoverability, we have included a search bar and filter categories on the left side area The changes are detailed here Key changes On selecting a desired service, details will be shown. Users can see related services listed on the right-hand side. On clicking the Get button on the above screen, users will be directed to a regular questionnaire, used to gather requirements while creating a service request. Fastest2.0 Feature Guide 6
My Fastest Dashboard view: Similarly, the dashboard view under My Fastest will also be revamped to an App Store view. The service requests that a user creates, currently listed under My Request or My Projects page, will also be portrayed appropriately, as can be seen below: Service Management & consumption Experience our traditional on-demand testing services with a new look and feel that complement the new additions to fastest2.0. For a seamless user experience, the management and consumption of these services remains unchanged. 4. Bring your own Team: Fastest2.0 allows users to on-board their team members for specific projects based on business requirements. Invite team-members to the organization pool within fastest Log-in to fastest platform as Customer Executive Go to the Admin Tab, and select Add New Invitee under Manage Users section Add the user details of the team member and invite them to be part of organization pool in fastest An activation mail will be triggered, through which the said team member can register 2. Grant the required access Request for infra or tools by placing respective service request (SR) in fastest Select the Manage Team option within the respective SR In the Manage Team screen, click on Assign to Project to assign team members to the service request Fastest2.0 Feature Guide 8
Select the desired team members from the organization resource pool, and assign them to the service request The assigned team members will be notified by an email, and will be able to access the resources (test infra/tools) requested as part of the SR. 5. Token based pricing & wallet payment With fastest2.0, we have launched a new wallet-based payment facility. Cognizant assigns every customer organization a dedicated wallet account with Cognizant Credits (pseudo currency).users can utilize Cognizant Credits to pay for the cost of the services. Please note that intent here is to create a single view of usage, all users in an organization will have access to a common wallet. To access your organization s wallet, the user must have executive privileges. On the wallet page, the current balance credits (or Tokens) are visible, along with the entire transaction history of past consumptions. Request for Cognizant Credits (tokens) In case of diminishing credits, a request for more tokens can be placed. This will trigger an e-mail to the fastest admin, who will then add the requested amount of credits to a user s wallet. Token-based Pricing & Consumption: All new offerings launched as part of fastest2.0 will follow a token-based pricing mechanism. Instead of the real dollar value, pricing will be represented in the form of credits (or tokens). Based on the value inputs by a customer while filling in the questionnaire, an indicative pricing will be calculated in the form of number of tokens required.
