APPLICATION CONSIDERATION (1) When the application starts, the inside parameter of a camera is automatically read, and set on the application screen. The parameter setting by [AVM-USB] is not temporary setting. At the same time, when you change parameter(s) on application screen, an IC for the parameter memory (EEPROM) in inside of a camera is rewritten. If the previous parameter setting is planed to be used again, save it with reference to 8. FILE SAVE OF THE SETTING PARAMETER (16page). After setting up of a parameter, provide the power to the camera again, and the operation can be restarted with saved parameter of an EEPROM. (2) Please follow the operating procedure explained by the 3. OPERATING PROCEDURE when using the [AVM-USB]. If you do not follow it, the application may not be operated normally, or the important parameter saved in the inside of a camera may be rewritten, or a camera or [AVM-USB] may be broken. (3) Watec Co., Ltd. is not responsible for any inconvenience or the attendant damages to the video and monitoring recording equipment caused by misuse, mis-operation or improper wiring of our equipment. 2

AE(SHUTTER) Tab Setting for the electronic shutter mode AE(GAIN) Tab Setting for the gain mode AE(ETC) Tab Setting for the photometry range and AE video level WHITE BALANCE Tab Setting for the white balance mode and RB balance ENHANCE Tab Setting for the edge enhancement of vertical and horizontal direction EFFECT Tab Setting for the mirror image, gamma and color/monochrome mode switching 2RESET Button Resetting a parameter as a default. 8
2. AE (SHUTTER) 1 1Setting for the Electronic Iris This is a mode that automatically controls the electronic shutter speed corresponding to brightness of an object. This mode is effective to be used at the places where brightness changes, such as near a window, and outdoor. The maximum and the minimum limit of electronic shutter speed range can be set by the E.IRIS section. As for the standard shutter speed settings, the maximum shutter speed is 1/100000 and the minimum shutter speed is 1/50. Select E.IRIS from the MODE by a radio button, and also select a maximum shutter speed (MAX) at the E.IRIS section by up-down button. Selectable shutter speeds are 1/100000, 1/50000, 1/20000, 1/10000, 1/5000, 1/2500, 1/1000, 1/500, 1/250, FL and OFF. As for the minimum shutter speed, select FL or OFF at the E.IRIS section by a radio button. *FL (NTSC: 1/100s, PAL: 1/120s) OFF (NTSC: 1/60s, PAL: 1/50s) 9
2 2Setting for the Fixed Electronic Shutter This is the electronic shutter mode to fix the shutter speed. Use this mode when stable lighting for the object is present. Select the E.SHUTTER from MODE by a radio button, and then select the any required shutter speed from E.SHUTTER by up-down button. Selectable shutter speeds are 1/100000, 1/50000, 1/20000, 1/10000, 1/5000, 1/2500, 1/1000, 1/500, 1/250, FL and OFF. 10
3. AE (GAIN) 1 2 1Setting for the AGC This mode controls gain automatically corresponding to the brightness of the object, and keep video level constantly. AGC range is also selectable within the range between 6 to 30dB. when the S/N is important than illumination sensitivity, set the maximum gain to low level for reduction of the noise. Select the AGC at the MODE section by a radio button, and also select the maximum and the minimum value of the level by up-down button in the AGC section. (Selectable range of AGC level is 6 to 30dB) The setting MAX<MIN can not be performed. 2Setting for the Fixed Gain Control This is the mode to fix a gain. Use this mode under stable lighting condition or S/N is more important than illumination sensitivity Select the FIXED at the MODE section by a radio button, and also select the suitable fixed gain level by up-down button. (Selectable range of AGC level is 6 to 30dB.) 11
4. AE (ETC) 1 2 3 1Setting for the Back Light Compensation Select any required back light emphatic area from 5 positions. Good image area setting can be obtained by a proper area setting. Defaut, Off, Center, Ceter+Under, and Under of BLC can be selected by a radio button. Only for the setting of Defalt or Center, back light level can be adjusted in 5 steps. 2Setting for the Setup Level An setup level can be set in 16 steps between 7.5IRE(s) from 0.
