Price Code Pricing Records by Unit of Measure IM-1168 Overview This Extended Solution to the Inventory Management module adds two new Pricing Methods by Unit of Measure to the Price Code Maintenance screen. These new methods will allow Price Code pricing records to be established by referencing Units of Measure, rather than ranges of Quantities. Up to five units of measure with a corresponding Discount Percent or Price Override for each may be entered. This Extended Solution is not compatible with Extended Solution IM-1097: Additional Pricing Tiers For Item Pricing. Installation Before installing this Extended Solution, please verify that the version level(s) printed on the CD label are the same as the version level(s) of the MAS 90 MAS 200 module(s) you are using. For further information, please see the Upgrades and Compatibility section below. Check your Shipping Manifest for a complete list of Extended Solutions shipped. For detailed installation instructions, please refer to the Sage website at: http://support.sagesoftware.com/mas/extended_solutions/main.cfm Installing Your Extended Solutions under Windows From a CD If you have the autorun function turned on for your PC, the installation program will start up automatically. If not, find the autorun.exe file on your CD-ROM drive and double-click it to start the installation program. Follow the on-screen instructions. From the Sage FTP site When your Extended Solution is ready to be downloaded, you will receive an email from extendedsolutions.na@sage.com telling you that it is ready. The email will contain the Customer Name, Cross Reference, a case-sensitive Password, a link via which you can download your Extended Solution, instructions and a Shipping Manifest. Unlock Extended Solutions Merge Installation Files Extended Solutions Setup options Custom Office If you customize your MAS 90 MAS 200, then you must run the Update Utility every time you install this Extended Solution. Setup Once the disk is installed, you will need to access the Inventory Management options screen. After the option screens have been displayed, a Setup screen for this Extended Solution will appear. Check the Enable Extended Solution box to activate this Extended Solution (Figure 1). The manual for this Extended Solution, if it has been installed, can be viewed by clicking the Manual button next to the Enable Extended Solution check box. It can also be viewed via the Extended Solutions Control Center (see Installation, above). Figure 1 You should visit this Setup screen after each upgrade or reinstallation of this Extended Solution. When Unit of Measure is selected the user will key in a Discount Percent from the Standard Price for each Unit of Measure (Figure 2). Sales Order and Sales Order Invoice Entry During Sales Order entry and Sales Order Invoice entry, if pricing logic determines that a Price Code record is to be read and that record has a Pricing Method of Unit of Measure or Unit of Measure Override then the Unit of Measure on the line will be compared to the pricing record. If the Unit of Measure is found, then depending on the pricing method either: the Discount Percent will be applied to the item s Standard Price and the result will be the line s Unit Price or the Unit Price associated with that Unit of Measure will be the line s Unit Price If the line s Unit of Measure is not found in the pricing record, standard MAS 90 MAS 200 pricing logic resumes as if there were no Price Code record for this item. IM-1253: Sales Promos with a Discount Amount If this Extended Solution is also installed and there is a Sales Promo in effect for the item using the Discount Amount method then that IM-1253 discount amount will apply to any Unit of Measure Override pricing records as follows: 1) The Unit Price per unit of measure will be obtained from IM-1168 2) The Unit Price per standard unit of measure will be calculated by applying the UOM Conversion factor 3) The sales promo will be applied to the standard unit of measure price 4) The UOM conversion factor will be multiplied against that result and placed in the Unit Price field Inventory Price List Printing When sorted by anything other than Customer, the Price List will add an additional line of data under each item for Price Code records by Unit Of Measure when they exist (Figure 4). 2005 Sage Software, Inc. Be aware that the ODBC Dictionaries may contain other files and data fields that will be unavailable without their corresponding Extended Solutions installed. What s New With the 01-26-05 release: Added a new pricing method of U/M Price Override. Upgrades and Compatibility The installation CD is labeled with the version of the MAS 90 MAS 200 module for which this Extended Solution was prepared. This Extended Solution will check its compatibility with the appropriate MAS 90 MAS 200 modules and will be disabled if an incompatibility is found. If you upgrade your MAS 90 MAS 200 modules, this Extended Solution must be upgraded as well. Your MAS 90 MAS 200 dealer can supply this upgrade. Documentation Only changes made to the standard operation of MAS 90 MAS 200 have been documented in this manual. Operations not documented in this manual are standard procedures of MAS 90 MAS 200 processing. Standard MAS 90 MAS 200 processes, data entry screens, inquiry screens, reports, updates, etc., have not been changed unless addressed in this document. Parts of this document may refer to the Specific Purpose Rule.
