(c) Gemilang Electric Generators Company has been getting many complaints from its major customer, Homey Station, about the quality of its shipments of home generators. The company decided to collect information on defective shipments through a form and the data obtained is as in Table 1 (c): Syarikat Penjana Electric Gemilang telah menerima banyak aduan daripada pelanggan utamanya, Stesen Homey, mengenai kualiti penghantaran penjana elektrik oleh mereka. C4 (c) Company A held a meeting to establish a new manufacturing production layout and products. This production layout consists of 3 CNC machines, robotic assembly station, load and unload station, transport unit, storage and computer control system. As one of the meeting members: Syarikat A mengadakan satu mesyuarat bagi mewujudkan sebuah susunatur pengeluaran dan produk yang baru. C2 (b) Five engine blocks are waiting for processing at Taylor Machine Shop. At any time, the company has only one engine expert on duty which can do this type of work. The engine problems have been diagnosed, and the processing times for the jobs have been estimated. The expected completion time of the process has been agreed upon with the shop s customers. The Table 3(b) shows the current situation. Due to the shop opening hours from 8.00 am to 5.00 p.m each week day, plus weekend hours as needed, the customers pick up time are measured in business hours from the current time. Determine the schedule for the engine expert by using: Lima blok enjin sedang menunggu untuk diproses di Taylor Machine Shop. CLO2 (b) SKF bearing company produces ball bearing to handle both thrust and radial loads. A typical container of parts takes 0.02 day in processing and 0.08 day in material handling and waiting during its manufacturing cycle. Daily demand for the part is 7,000 units. Management believes that demand for the ball bearing is uncertain enough to warrant a safety stock equivalent of 10 percent of inventory. Syarikat SKF bearing menghasilkan bebola galas untuk mengendalikan kedua-dua teras dan beban jejari. Bekas biasa mengambil 0.02 hari untuk diproses dan 0.08 hari untuk pengendalian bahan dan masa menunggu ketika proses pembuatan dijalankan. Permintaan harian bagi komponen tersebut adalah 7,000 unit.
