LTL Airbag Recall Shipping Procedures Airbags (BAGS) are considered a hazardous material and must be shipped according to DOT regulations. The following steps must be exactly followed to avoid incidents and violations. NEVER SHIP AN AIRBAG VIA AIR. RAS will ship all the following supplies once all airbags are invoiced: Insert Airbag into PINK anti-stat bag provided and close with wire tie from kit. Place bagged airbag in box provided with kit. Then add bubble wrap or additional filling (not provided) to fill voids in the box to eliminate movement. Place VIN tag loose in box, as shown in picture on left. Then seal box with CLEAR TAPE. Apply one(1) class 9 Hazmat label per one(1) box, then place individual boxes together on a pallet, and either tie down or shrink wrap them down to the pallet.* *Please Note: If you use BLACK shrink wrap, you must also place a Hazmat label on each side of the pallet, which can be downloaded from the RAS Recall Website. Print out two(2) copies of BOL. Attach one(1) copy to the pallet and hand one(1) copy to the driver. If directions are not followed, driver may refuse to take the shipment!!

One airbag per box! AIRBAG shipment supplies are pre-packaged as a kit and should include: Approved box, pink anti-static bag, zip tie,bubble wrap, and one(1) Class-9 Diamond label Source for kits: RAS will send the package supplies to you once you have invoiced the airbags. FedEx Airbag Inflator Packing & Shipping Instructions Please follow these instructions to return the undeployed Airbag Inflator to Rebuilders Automotive Supply (RAS). As the shipper, you are responsible for proper packaging and document completion. Driver needs to have his copy of the OP 900PRP Form or the package will be returned *** Packing Instructions *** 1. Place class 9 hazmat label on side of shipping box. - Make sure box is undamaged. - Black out any other barcode or address labels with black marker if reusing a box. 2. Place the Airbag Inflator in an Anti-static bag.
3. Zip tie the Anti-Static bag. 4. Place the Airbag inflator inside the box. 5. Add Dunnage (Bubble wrap or Paper) to inside of box to prevent movement during transportation.
6. Seal box with a 2 Inch piece of tape; at least two inches past the fold of the box. *** Ensure all steps have been properly completed. All packages must be prepared in accordance with U.S. Department of Transportation And FedEx Ground requirements. ***
*** Labeling & Shipping Instructions *** 1. The Form for the air bag return is OP- 900PRP and there are four parts. Part 1.1 is the Label that gets applied to the side of the Box. Part 1.2. is the FedEx Driver copy. **This needs to be handed to them or the package will be returned** *VERY IMPORTANT to have ready* Part 1.3 is the Customer copy. Part 1.4 Are the four labels that get placed inside the pouch on the bottom of the box. 1.1 1.2 13 1.4
2. Take the OP-900PRP Form and peel the box copy (Part 1.1 in above picture) and apply the label to the side of the box. 3. Take the FedEx pouch and place on the bottom of the box. Place the four bottom labels from OP-900PRP label (Part 1.4 of the form shown above) in the pouch.
4. Give the driver his copy (Part 1.2 from OP-900PRP) at time of pickup. 5. Keep your copy (Part 1.3 from OP-900PRP) for your records. 6. Take the PRP barcode label and peel the top left corner and apply it to the Driver s copy (See Next Picture) 7. Take the next label on the top right and apply it to your copy for your records (See Next Picture) 6 7

8. Take the return label and fill out all information in the section labeled From. - Any missing information could lead to the package being returned to you and delaying the processing of the order.
9. Place return label on the side of the Box.
