Developed, implemented and managed HSE compliance and management system auditing program, including refinery process safety management compliance auditing, for five refineries, lubricants manufacturing plant, two lubricant packaging plants, 54 fuel terminals, aircraft jet fueling operation, truck transportation fleet, crude gathering, and pipeline operations. Assisted with development and implementation of PSM and RMP requirements at five refineries. Participation in high profile agency discussions. Prepared, reviewed and certified SPCC Plans. Refinery Planning and Economics: Economic Analyst: Responsible for refinery feedstock selection, crude blending, and plant production optimiation. Evaluated refinery operating configurations to meet marketing forecasts, forecasted feestocks crude, naphtha, gas oil and coker feed. Developed LP sub-models to predict plant (fuels and petrochemicals) yields. Developed utility conservation program and tracking tool for tank emission compliance. Refinery HSE: Environmental Engineer: Responsible for all aspects of environmental management at integrated refining complex: refinery, petrochemical plant, marine terminals, bulk tank terminal, and pipelines, and additional responsibilities for six product terminals in three states. Janice interfaced with state and federal agencies for all regulatory programs. She is

Supervised all hazardous waste, PCB, and asbestos management activities, including impoundment and land treatment closures, as well as fugitive monitoring, groundwater monitoring, waste dewatering project, and underground storage tank removals. Janice managed implementation/ operation of extensive hydrocarbon recovery project, prepared applications and obtained RCRA, wastewater, and air permits. She worked jointly with Safety and Industrial Hygiene on chemical evaluations, personnel exposure monitoring, development of MSDS, and asbestos abatement. Janice promoted use of alternate chemicals with less exposure potential to personnel and environment. Refinery Technical Services: Process Engineer: Responsible for hydrotreating and catalytic reforming units. Monitored operations, developed engineering projects, and turnaround support. Janice managed efficiency program for all fired heaters, developed emissions inventory program, relief system/valve inspection program, and tank emission program.
