OO Firesafe insurer approved (FM / LPCB) The Kingspan plants are world leaders in the research, development and testing of fire engineered insurer approved firesafe roof, wall, facade and temperature controlled (chill and cold store) systems. This work has resulted in the development and application of fire engineered technologies which provide firesafe systems for owners, occupiers and tenants, enhancing property and business risk protection. Kingspan s firesafe solutions are based upon Factory Mutual Global (FM) and the Loss Prevention Certification Board s (LPCB) rigorous fire test and accreditation methods. FM and LPCB systems are widely recognized by investors, property insurers, designers and constructors for their superior fire engineered performance, thus reducing fire risks. The new energi centre embodies all of these objectives. The centre provides a world class showcase for innovation and an industry leading training facility. Energy efficiency and environmental sustainability are at the forefront of our thinking, and hence the design itself. Accordingly, careful consideration has been given to each detail, right from the thermal effectiveness of the building envelope, through to the integration of solar renewable energy sources and rainwater recycling. The new centre will provide an industry wide facility for training, seminars and demonstrations of technique and innovation. The building is due for opening in the year 2009.
