Adaptation and Mitigation Initiative in Agricltre (AMIA) Enables local commnities to manage climate risks while prsing sstainable livelihoods Throgh the Systems-Wide Climate Change Office (DA SWCCO): - oversees the mainstreaming of climate change consideration in all fnctions and offices of DA - ndertakes catalytic projects to facilitate mainstreaming

Implementation of the Philippine Rral Development Project (PRDP) PRDP as Platform for Reform Philippine Rral Development Project (PRDP) is a six-year project designed to establish the government platform for a modern, climate-smart and market-oriented agri-fishery sector. Project Components! I-PLAN (Investments in AFMP Planning at the Local and National Levels): aims to enhance sector planning throgh science-based tools! I - B U I L D ( I n t e n s i f i e d B i l d i n g p o f Infrastrctre and Logistics for Development): aims to pt in place strategic and climateresilient rral infrastrctre facilities along the vale chain! I-REAP (Investments in Rral Enterprises and Agricltre and Fisheries Prodctivity): aims to create marketable srpls of commodities and elevate agricltral prodction into the next levels of the vale chain by installing prodction and market spport facilities; establish enterprises and p-scaling prodct at the appropriate commodity vale-chain segment! I-SUPPORT (Implementation Spport to PRDP): aims to maintain effective and efficient program management and instittionalize DA engagement with stakeholders. Innovations Introdced by PRDP Expanded Vlnerability and Sitability Assessment (e-vsa) Geomapping A spatial mapping techniqe sed to represent geographical data (i.e. agricltral patterns, crop prodction, land sitability) into an online interactive visal map that aids in targeting and prioritizing development interventions. In PRDP, the tool is essential for Vale Chain Analysis (VCA) to determine whether priority agricltral commodities are within the vale chain that is viable for investment. Geotagging Geotagging, which was initiated nder the DA-Mindanao Rral Development Program (MRDP), is recognized as the first in the Philippines and one of the pioneers in the region. At present, DA is implementing complsory geotagging of its major programs and projects. A tool that takes accont of both agro-climatic data and socio-economic indicators (sch as poverty magnitde, poverty incidence, nmber of farmers and fishers, size of prodction, area, etc.) as basis in targeting interventions and formlating strategies for investments
