Lead the athletic department based on proven Christian integrity and ethics consistent with the University Mission Statement. 2. Recommend for employment, monitor, mentor, and supervise all athletic department employees, 3. Implement and monitor programs to ensure coaches and student-athletes understand the sincere religious beliefs of the University and intentionally and purposefully embrace the University s Mission Statement. 4. Implement and monitor NCAA compliance programs for each sport that ensures all coaches make compliance with NCAA rules a top priority. 5. Implement and monitor programs to positively impact the academic progress of student-athletes and their actions on and off the playing field and court. Page 1 of 4

6. Take an active leadership role in fundraising for the University s athletic programs, coordinating those efforts with the University s Development Office. 7. Implement and monitor programs for all athletic department employees to assist them in: following the University s Administrative Policies, budget planning, fundraising, marketing, travel, facilities supervision, maintaining equipment, game and practice scheduling, supervision of Chapel/Student Assembly, and the academic success of student-athletes. 8. The Athletic Director must also have a good working knowledge of all sports. Supervisory Responsibilities The Athletic Director will supervise all full-time employees (currently 24), part-time employees and volunteers directly or through head coaches or department heads.
