Project Plan for Individuals in Service with LHH AIM our proprietary, three-phase business process for Assessing opportunity, Implementing search, and Managing transition combines a wealth of personal support and productivity tools to aid in the successful identification and achievement of career goals. What differentiates LHH s AIM from other methods is that ours is a business process. Your employees are guided by 10 Milestones to help organize their search and gauge their progress as they move ahead. The goal of this unique project model which incorporates the familiar elements of a work assignment (research, analysis, strategy, measuring results, etc.) is to land an appropriate position as quickly as possible. In Phase 1 of the process, your employees assess opportunity by determining their career objectives and how best to market themselves. In Phase 2, your employees implement search by executing their marketing plan while continually tracking their progress. Finally, in Phase 3, they wrap up their search activities, manage their transition to a new position, and learn important techniques for managing their career going forward. PHASE I - ASSESS Milestone 1 Milestone 2 Milestone 3 Milestone 4 Survey Your Professional Environment Determine Your Professional Objective Create Your Communications Strategy and Resume Define Your Target Market PHASE II - IMPLEMENT Milestone 5 Milestone 6 Milestone 7 Milestone 8 Gather Marketplace Information Get Your Message Out Talk with Hiring Managers Consider Other Methods of Search PHASE III - MANAGE Milestone 9 Interview, Cultivate Offers, and Negotiate Milestone 10 Transition into New Position AIM s project-based methodology incorporates a variety of useful guideposts and metrics. One such benchmark is the number of hiring managers that, on average, a client speaks with before accepting a job offer. Sharing data of this nature with clients helps manage their expectations and encourages them to devote sufficient time to specific job search activities. In summary, LHH provides Big Brothers Big Sisters employees with (1) a reasonable estimate of job search length based on activity level, (2) the support, tools, and resources to be effective, and (3) mechanisms to assess and correct their progress for faster landings.
