Case study CarePlus Industry: Retail trade Country: China Product: Export working capital guarantee Efic support: A$300,000 Customer: CarePlus is a Sydney-based online exporter of Australian food products and health supplements to China. Need: With significant capital tied up in inventory, CarePlus needed additional working capital to maintain the required inventory levels. Result: We provided a A$300,000 export working capital guarantee, which allowed CarePlus to prepay stock and freight costs for its rapidly increasing orders. 7

Case study Cassegrain Wines Industry: Manufacturing Country: Japan and China Product: Export Contract Loan Efic support: A$500,000 Customer: Cassegrain is a multi-award winning winemaking company based in Port Macquarie, NSW. Need: Faced with growing orders from Japan and China, Cassegrain needed additional working capital to invest in its manufacturing. Result: We provided a A$500,000 Export Contract Loan which enabled Cassegrain to deliver on growing export contracts. 8

Case study Australian Organic Meats Industry: Wholesale trade Country: Worldwide Product: Export working capital guarantee Efic support: A$500,000 Customer: Australian Organic Meats is a Queensland-based exporter of premium quality, grass fed certified organic beef to wholesalers worldwide. Need: AOM needed additional working capital to support pre-shipment costs for its increased order pipeline from its overseas buyers. Result: We provided a $500,000 export working capital guarantee to AOM s bank, enabling it to approve the additional working capital AOM needed.
