JOB POSTING Position: Wage: Schedule: Benefits: Family Place Intern $12.00 an hour Variable, up to 20 hours per week Flexible schedule, great work environment, optional 457B retirement plan, flexible spending account Primary Job Duties: Purchases and maintains Family Place toys and supplies under the guidance of the Family Place team at all three library locations Coordinates with volunteers to clean toys on a regular basis Assists with the Grow, Play, Learn parent-child workshop Purchases items for each location s Parent-Teacher collection under the guidance of the Family Place team Works under supervision within the broad guidelines set by library policies and the library director Motivates, establishes and maintains effective working relationships with associates, supervisors, volunteers, other community agencies and the public Maintains awareness of new developments and trends in the field through professional journals, workshops, conferences, etc. Prepares for emergencies and helps maintain a safe work environment Performs related duties as required Required Qualifications: Current enrollment in a 4-year degree program or higher that focuses on children, including early childhood education or library science.
