Digital@your fingertips PowerApps provided a way for us to easily aggregate disparate information Multiple data connectors utilized 0365 Users, RSS, Common Data Model (CDM) Easy, user friendly touch-based interaction Targeted search within categories
Capitalizing on the Power in PowerApps We utilized Collections to cache data By caching data the app can be used offline and we save on both time and cellular data costs. Once data is loaded (cached) it only loads data when there is new data available. The Common Data Model (CDM) provided the fastest and most reliable information loading experience We began with SharePoint Lists but moved over to the CDM to mitigate load lags but we found that the CDM was more robust and flexible than the SharePoint Lists We created an Image Library in CDM to store images that are referenced in our screens & blogs
Capitalizing on the Power in PowerApps We used inline streaming audio & video capabilities to showcase our AvanadeInc YouTube channel & podcasts. We have a sister app for creating/maintaining content so content owners can each maintain their own. Creating simple forms-based apps are easy with PowerApps so these sister apps were created & distributed very rapidly.
Results Realized Pilot phase complete & full scale roll-out to the field was on 10/20/16 Increase in pipeline origination and use of field materials Provide real-time feedback and rating of materials One stop shop to gain access to all important customer facing sales and thought leadership material even if offline Easy access to client evidence Demo mode dual purpose application to show Avanade s innovation to customers and secure sensitive customer data
