INSTALLATION OF BUILT-IN BOX brickwork plastering sealing tape built-in box with flange height adjustment sealing tile adhesive tiles LED technology cover silicon joints aluminium profiles The built-in box is installed into the wall or pre-wall installation and the flange is sealed with conventional materials (for example bonded waterproofing). Important for tilers: The installation of the built-in box is carried out with a silicon joint between the aluminium profile of the LED and the mortar resp. the tiles (there must be no contact between the aluminium profile and cementitious material) Height adjustment LED Caution: Careful work is essential! 1. Remove the LED Cover. (Not the aluminium profile) 2. Use the allen key for fixing the desired height of the LEDs on the two screws (left / right) 3. Clipping of the cover in the aluminium profile S FOR THE DIGITAL MIXER IS INCLUDED IN THE SEPARATE PACKAGE
INSTALLATION INTO THE WALL Step 1 (plumber / electrician / tiler) 1. provide wall opening / wall recess 2. mark and drill the screw holes 3. connection of the electricial installation 4. inspection of all electricial components (function test) Be careful when LED on electric transformer: low voltage Attention: For the outside-wall cutout a correspondingly sufficient insulation has to be installed in coordination with the architect / site manager! (Cold bridge / cooling process) Through the wall recess, the fire resistance and the component thickness of the wall / outer wall is reduced. This has to be clarified with the structural engineer / fire protection expert before the execution. Info: To ensure the water flow the buttom side of the built-in box is equipped with a gradient (2% toward the opening). built-in box Step 2 (plumber / electrician / tiler) sealing tape 5. install the built-in box into the wall by using the enclosed mounting screws (holes, Ø 6 mm) 6. sealing of the built-in box (tiler) a. cleaning of the built-in box- flange (fat-free) b. attaching the sealing tape c. creating the liquid seal d. applying tile adhesive and tiles wall / rear Step 3 (plumber / tiler / bricklayer / plasterers ) 7. pouring in the recess with mortar (alternatively: foaming the recess provided the recess is not overly large) cavity between built-in box and brickwork: max. 3 cm 8. Plastering of the back wall by the plasterer (Built-in netting to crack bridging)
INSTALLATION PLASTER Important: fix the built-in box on the mounting frame by using mounting screws / carrying system, and or to a mounting plate fire protection and sound insulation have to be clarified with the experts if necessary before installing the built-in box INSTALLATION DETAIL / DOUBLE COVERING plasterboard sealing tape sealing tile adhesive tiles
ELECTRIC- / PLUMBING CONNECTIONS empty pipe Ø 3.5cm ATTENTION: The local electrical regulations must be observed according to the norms of each country. Electrical work must be carried out by approved specialists according to local regulations. (See also: Low voltage Electrical Installations)
